Sone Ki Dukan(golden shop) - Historical place in Mahansar - Jhunjhunu, India

Beautiful work and an interesting part of history. Preserved well by the owners it's a hidden place in this small town. You may need to go to the owners place which is just down the street and request him to open it for you as the place is kept locked for security reasons.

Amazing place. The paintings on the walls and roof are beautiful. Pity the heritage property is not being preserved the way it deserves.

Very interesting and beautiful paintings. A one-time definite visit place. Amazing to see such intricate work done ages ago. However, more can be done to keep the site maintained. The entry price is INR 100.

Beautiful, must visit if you are passing by mahansar , close to churu . Seth moneylenders of Shekhawati had made gold and silver Ramayana in their gaddi (old-fashioned business office) in the gold shop and in the room for business guests from far and wide. We are talking about the room built by Seth Harkanth Rai Poddar. It is called gold shop. Which was about 175 years ago when their trade of diamonds and gems was in Japan, China and many other countries. The merchant had made gold shop, office (seat) for transactions. An office was built in Mahansar village of Jhunjhunu district. Mahansar is a small village, but in the same village there is a famous gold-silver Ramayana room, which was called a gold shop at that time. This gold shop is in Poddaro ki Haveli at the main bus stand of Mahansar village. Which is now mostly kept closed due to maintenance. It is opened only for tourists coming from outside.

You get scenes from Lord Rama's and Lord Krishna's life intricately painted with gold and other vibrant colors.Mahansar's Sistine Chappel. It need to be preserved and restored.
