This is a hidden gem in Udupi district. It's a lesser known beach located along the west of the NH 66. There is a road towards the beach and was in good condition during our visit. It's a rather small place with minimal space for parking. There are some seating benches to enjoy the scene. Couple of ice cream trucks were present during the morning hours. There's a temple nearby. There's also a view point which is close to the beach but is 6 kms by road. There wasn't any crowd and we had a pleasant time. A must visit place when in Udupi district.
The beach is under some renovations and construction work it not clean no proper entrance to the beach the rocks are slippery the water is not that clean
We wanted to see sunset in Murudeshwara, however we were running late. On map this was the nearest beach on the way and we went for it. Less crowded but we enjoyed a lot with beautiful sunset. Access road is from village and may be not very much safe during evening due to lack of police and administration. Day time is suitable to visit. You will find crabs all around the beach. No restaurant, no public facilities. Only beautiful beach.
One of the best beaches that i love to visit again, also if you want to have some private time with family, this is the best place. There will be very few ppl even on the weekend. This is a white sandy beach and its very very clean. I just loved the beach It was so serene and peaceful I just took a walk across the beach and collected all the conch and corals , it was amazing experience. There was also a shiva temple on the sea shore and it was worth visiting. Plenty of parking available for cars and its 2km from NH 66 highway.
A beach in Byndoor which is not very crowded so good for those who are looking for a peaceful visit. There is also a sunrise / sunset point close to this place which offers a great view early in the morning and evening. A river which meets Arabian sea
The maps location and the actual beach differs. Parking space is very less, narrow space, free parking. The beach is cleaned and there are rocks to sit ,enjoy the breeze and the view. There's a temple nearby of Lord someshwarnath
Every summer want to visit this beach without miss......most advantage of this beach is temple view and safest beach to play with kids .....one disadvantage is lack of maintenance in changing rooms which is very important to ladies..... because of improper bathrooms or restrooms ladies can't play.......
Someshwara beach, Byndoor is one of the nearest beaches to Mookambika Railway Station. A nice place to enjoy with family, with a setting sun in the evening and cool sea breeze. One can also visit Someshwara temple nearby. Surely, this stretch has a number of beautiful beaches. And they are very clean too. A must visit for beach lovers, if you happen to travel to Byndoor or any nearby area.
