The famous Someshwar Nath Mahadev Temple is age old which attracts lakhs of pilgrims from other districts as well as Nepal on the occasion of Shrawani Mela (During July-August). Areraj a village has developed up to town and now it is the Headquarter of Areraj Subdivision. Also at Areraj lies an Ashokan pillar attracting tourists throughout the year. Note: One thing I really didn't like about this temple is every priest asking for the Dakshina (donation). It's seems they all are greedy. All the priest will make you... Yell on them. Local GuideSomeshwar nath temple is one of the most beautiful and famous temple of Lord shiva, located in Areraj, East Champaran, Bihar. Strongly recommend to travel with your own vehicle coz sharing transport is not convenient.. Please stay away from greedy beggers as they are too much irritating people. Keep long distance from fake panda and peoples. Overall this is the best place to visit for peace of mind. Average time 10-15 min in off days and minimum 30-40 min in peack time like in the time of Sawan. Har Har Mahadev
