It's a pretty good place to stay in. The view from the rooms and the porch is amazing. The hosts are very very polite and helpful. The food they serve here is really delicious - the major plus point of this place. It's location is just about 3 kms from ISBT....the only concerning part is that about 200+ stairs have to be climbed down to reach the homestay, which though, is not very uncommon in a hill station, but it should be considered by those who are travelling with older people. So, overall, mine was a very pleasant stay there.

Besed on location it is not good for any tourist. HOTEL situated downward 200mtr of road. Rooms are clean, views are awesome and staff is also good. If you paying extra for meal you'll get meal like home. Shimla is 4km away from Snow vally it means you have to find to visit Shimla. No transportation no Cab service. You can rent a Bike or scooter which costs 750-1000 per day it is near the Homestay. Please do not book homestay or hotel online if you visit by yourself and ask if the price might be cheaper than online.
I would not recommend this homestay for people who are old or have knee issues, as one would have to climb down around 200 stairs to reach this hotel. For young travellers who are looking for a peaceful budget accomodation, this is absolutely a nice place. Nice view from the room having balcony. 180 degree open view from the dining area. The cleanliness of the rooms can be improved. The bedsheets should be fresh and the blankets should have fresh covers.
The stay was very nice. Home caretaker Ravi, very helpful. Good for family stay as well. Only the thing is, lots of steps to reach this homestay from the main road.
Quite, safe, at a decent position, with pleasant staff, and easily reachable. My trip to Shimla was fun. I appreciate Team Solo Home. - Traveler's arriving by train usually take a bus directly from the bus stop to Ghoda Chowki, which costs between Rs. 7 and Rs. 10 per person. The location is absolutely worth it, and the views from the balcony are beautiful despite the apartment being a little distance from the bus stop and having between 100 and 150 stairs.
It was nice exprience to stay over there. It is very nice place in shimla with budget. Good service by owner as well as staff. Only issue is we need to step down almost around 300-400 steps to reach home stay and again climb back the same steps to reach the main road. Not advisable to aged people as well as having family with small kids where you need to carry kids.
i had the best experience choosing solo home for my first solo trip, the host is very humble and he went out of their way to provide some extra facilities if he can, the caretakers were one call away. and i have to change my room booking because i booked mixed one, but everyone there is so polite and professional, and on the top of cherry the homely food they provide, and the pictures I have shared are from my room window and from the terrace of the stay. which is the second-best thing. if you're looking for something safe comfortable, and in budget then go ahead with a solo home without any doubt. thankyou so much for the wonderful stay
