SOHAM Himalayan Centre - Museum in Mussoorie - Dehradun, India

I'm so glad we decided to visit this privately run museum and art exhibition! The founders, who are artisans themselves, have created such a warm and artsy atmosphere. We were shown around by the owner herself, they had so much passion for what they do and it is really a must go place!

Great experience. Personal collection and art work lovers will love this place. The owners were very generous and they explained everything. People with some knowledge related to the things displayed will definitely like it.

Mussoorie trip without visiting this place would be unfulfilled. I saw the place listed on a blog about things to do in mussoorie and went with no expectations but it turned out to be one of the best experience i had. Its a private museum run by a wonderful couple who are atisans themselves and the things they do to preserve the culture and heritage is evident in their passion for it. There's Art, there's History, there's knowledge.

one of the most lovingly put together collection of local heritage that i ever seen. the couple who privately run the museum have spent 11 years putting the eclectic collection together. It is a must visit and not just once! loved it and going back tomorrow to see the rest.

Glad that we stopped by. This is a privately run museum, crafts center and art exhibition. The founders and owners are themselves artisans and many of the exhibits (sculptures, paintings) are by their own hand. The place has a warm, quaint and artsy feel. We were lucky to be shown around by the owner herself. She displays so much passion for what they do here and the charity that they run. Some of the paintings and sculptures are for sale, proceeds go towards upkeep and charity. There's also a small gift shop and a cafe overlooking the valley.

Beautiful and Amazing place, a must visit in Mussoorie. Absolutely underrated spot, hardly known by people but a great source of information. In short, it's not just a museum, it's a school of information. All thanks to Mr & Mrs Shukla, the Phungsuk Wangdu of Uttarakhand for creating this vast ocean of knowledge and guiding us through it. We'll make sure to visit it everytime we go to Mussoorie.

Soham is a beautifully created treasure in the lap of Mussoorie. An Art Gallery, a Museum, A Cafe and a Temple created with love and warmth. A must visit for everyone visiting Mussoorie and wants to know about Uttrakhand.

It's an amazing museum which has good collection of artefacts. The ticket price is 100 per person. They have a souvenir shop as well. Better to park the car on the roadside as the approach road to museum is quite steep.
