SNV Sadanam Working Womens Hostel - Working Women's Hostel in Kochi, Ernakulam - Ernakulam, India

There are two hstl buildings in this premise. The old building and new building. I stayed in the old one, where plug points are common (in the corridor), no hot water in toilets, bed is so small, no washing machine facilities available. You have to pay extra for ironing also. You have to enter the hostel by 7.30pm, even you are a working women. The thing I really liked is the food there. They provide a variety of tasty foods. The rooms are cleaned by cleaning staff frequently. The mess rate varies for each person if we took leave. There is a big library, where you could find loads of books.. almost all books.. Moreover the metro station, south railway station, ksrtc bus stand.. all are close by.. You won't find any place better than your home anywhere. If you can compromise some things you will enjoy staying there.

I thought its good hostel by seeing these ratings in google map , but in reality the rooms are small and congested, so not recommended, please don't waste time

Not a good option..They won't show you the rooms before you take admission because rooms aren't good..its congested majority of the rooms are 8 people sharing rooms. There is no cot only a cemented platform , similar to the once you find in the railway stations, the difference is that you have to sleep on that Hostel fee is not based on dividing system.. They claim this when you take admissions.. But they take a fixed amount based on how many days you stayed. Even if you are not staying in the room,they will add light and water charges for the whole month even though you are not using it. Staff are not at all approachable. Very stubborn and careless people. If any mistake happens from there part, no one will take the blame and will put it as your fault. Food and all was good but that too has become gross.

I'm staying here as guest. They have increased there hostel rent to Rs. 250 per day. It is too much for the facilities they are offering. Very congested room and hostel feels like a jail.

Easy access to transportation, good and tasty food and the staff are all so friendly

Staff in snv especially the staff in reception are very stubborn . If you are a student you are not allowed to go outside in non- working days and if you are late in working days they won't enter you inside, you have to wait outside the whole night and this how they treat students. students have to enter inside the hostel within 6:00 PM and phones are allowed only inside the room and the reception people always makes their own rules . So bad

Near to school of marine sciences cusat, maharajas college, st.theresas college, cifnet,..etc. This hostel is good for students but they have very strict rules about food timings, and arrival timing. Food is okay. Vegetarian food is available. They have a very good library.

The hostel is opposite to Govt Girls HSS Eranakulam South, near Eranakulam south railway station and South metro station. 8 people, 4 people and 2 people rooms are available. For staying as guest the fee for 8 people room is 200/day (rent+ food). Rooms should be cleaned by the inmates/ guests (except 2 people rooms). Mess hall, kitchen and bathrooms are always clean. Food is pretty good. Mess has proper timings for breakfast (7-8.40 am) lunch (12.30- 2pm)and dinner (7- 8pm). Gate closing time for students are 6.30 pm and 7.30pm for working women.
