I booked at Snowlion for a family weekend visit to Darjeeling and we had enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Breakfast was served at their family dining room on the floor above our rooms. Food was tasty & wholesome and served with a smile by the friendly staff. Location is very near to Chowrasta and accessible by vehicle. Rooms are spic and tastefully done up with attached bathroom. Definitely value for money..Good wifi connection too. They have 2 family pets and both are so friendly and lovable.
I had a great experience staying at this hotel. The room which I stayed in was spacious enough for two people. Located in the most perfect place I would say. The clock tower is at two mins walking distance. Budget friendly and the staffs were also very nice. Best place to stay in Darjeeling for someone like me. Definitely recommending my friends and anyone I know.
Snowlion Homestay is a gem of a place on Gandhi road mananged by a lovely Tibetan family. The room is spacious & cosy with good amenities & excellent wifi. View of the mountain ranges and hills from their terrace is breathtaking! The room we booked had a good view too. They have a travel desk at the reception and we booked a local points tour and Pravin was excellent with his driving and knowledge of the important landmarks around. The Mall road is within walking distance and many eateries are close-by. Highly reccommended!
Snow Lion homestay is a very good place to stay at, the rooms are luxurious, the staff are very efficient and good mannered, the food available here is one of the best. You can rent cars and bikes for small tours from here itself. The location is very good, you can see the mountain range right from your room. I highly recommend this homestay to make your holiday memorable.

It's just 2 min walking distance from the Clock Tower on Gandhi Road (the road that goes towards Peace Pagoda, Jalapahar, Circuit House, Lalkothi etc). But the best thing is the warm Tibetan atmosphere. The lounge itself is so well decorated with Tibetan items that one can spend hours by just sitting there. A photo of HH Dalai Lama XIV will shower you with blessings. The breakfast is homemade and filling. You can choose from roti-sabzi, bread butter, banana, omelet. The rooms (mine was deluxe) are very good and spacious with huge beds. Geyser is there. Jet is there. Reading lamps are there. Yellow lights instead of white give that cozy warm feeling. The hotel is mainly run by youngsters and they're always ready to help in any need. Tibetan Refugee Self Help's office is just opposite to the hotel. Manjushree Tibetan Museum is just a few buildings down. Though the hotel doesn't provide lunch or dinner, nothing to worry about. Because there are plenty of eateries in this vicinity. Darjeeling is not just Glenary's or Keventer's as popularised by us Bangalis and South Indians. There are many other places to explore. China Hut, Nawang's, Bonny's, Sonam's, Uzumaki'z, Nerdvana, Padma, Mahakal these are just a few names. Walk. Explore the town. Even roadside faley @ Rs20 can keep you filled for hours. To the management: thank you so much for your parting gift khata. It helped us a lot in our journey back home. It kept us safe. Really.
Great experience.. the rooms were cozy and the hospitality was great.. also the location is great... the view from the first floor rooms were not that great however the stairs are accessible and the view from the terrace is amazing... all in all, would highly recommend this hotel.
Rooms should be immediately renovated. Specially toilate are below average. Towels found very dirty. Furniture of the room are non-fuctional. No arrangement tea/ coffee, electric kettle in room along with a termojug is a must for rooms specially a places like Darjeeling. But service of Suraj & others room service personal is excellent. Specially aunty the mother of the owner she is a very noble lady. On request she arranged cottage cheese in breakfast as i had a stomach upset at that time. It is also out of place to mention that day when I was in high fever they lent me their own thermometer used for their family. Overall it was a nice place as well as the behaviour of all family members of the owner, specially the location it is bang on Gandhi Road which is the main exit way from Darjeeling city 5 minutes away from Keveders & 10 minutes far away from Mall the heat of the queens of the hills. And most importantly they have 2 SUV owned by them ( which can be rented for boarders/ guests) of the hotel and a personal parking place which is very uncommon in a place like Darjeeling. I would request the owner to convert the first floor to a basic restaurant as it is very dificult to go out of property specially in evening time during sudden rain & your guests are mostly Bengalis who does not takes their dinner before 10 p.m. and if it raining outside it is impossible to move out of your in chil temperature which Bengalis cannot tolerate. Hope i had made you all understand my views and observation. One thing I must mention here that room number 202 is the best room of the hotel besides 501 & 502, from where Mountain Kangchenjunge ( one of the best mountain range screen on this earth) is visible from all 3 rooms.
Very very happy & nice place, room & atmosphere. Behaviour is very beautiful. Location is important very nice viewing Kanchanjunga. We have been very much glad at this place. I hope honestly say lovely pretty place it's.
