SLAUGHTERHOUSE VEGAN - Vegan restaurant in Calangute - North Goa, India

It's quite an extraordinary place. The food is nothing less than amazing! The list is tight and each item is a meal by itself. My vegetarian/vegan friends, do ask what goes in to each food item, and let me assure you it is 100% vegan even though the names of dishes are intentionally written with the nonveg ingredients (more so we know what meat we are replacing and therefore which animal we are saving). My non-vegetarian friends, you are in for a treat! While the food is vegan, the texture, feel, taste, are all very much like meat (I know, kos I used to eat and I vouch for this). What more - everything is home cooked and home baked.

Loved the vegan food and exquisite experience from Slaughterhouse prepared by lovely host. All dishes we tried were mesmerising and delicious. I would recommend Goan pao as a must try local dish from this exotic vegan restaurant. Their sweet citrus pie was one of sweet dish that I'll never forget and have not been able to find something else matching the same taste.

Just had a very tasty dinner! Service was great very friendly. Really enjoyed a papaya smoothie followed by the humane bean burger plus biscoff donut. My husband had the banging burger. We both are planing a return trip later in the week! This is the first all vegan restaurant we have eaten in since arriving in India 2 weeks ago!

It being a vegan place, I was very intrigued by the name. I chose the soy based bangin' burger which came with fries and a nice dip. It was very filling and yummy. The baklava was yummy as well but a bit too sweet for my taste. I didn't expect to find such a nice vegan place in the heart of Calangute. The owner Elvina was very warm and explained the menu choices very patiently. I will be returning for more.

Don't let the name scare you off, Slaughter Vegan is anything but distasteful. Go there because you're curious about why its named like this. The owner puts loving care into the food and creates dishes worthy of praise. She's more than happy to explain the menu and what's in each item and how its put together. We had the Spaghetti Amazeballs and Porkito Mas, both masterworks of vegan originality. Lovely place. Head on over its a great introduction to vegan food.

Best vegan burgers we have ever eaten. We had the no chicken burger and the Bangin burger and both tasted amazing. Such fresh and delicious flavours. Elvina the owner was such a friendly and lovely lady. Will definitely be going back for more.
