Sky Walk Bungalow Kunnu - Tourist attraction in Nilambur - Malappuram, India

Not worthy going there!! Few greenery views on both side of the road, the bungalow is under construction and cannot be seen. Sky walk is few meters of walk through steps inside forest of around 300m not that much existing. For video camera it is Rs300 trust me no use to take!! From my point of view Glass bridge is much better than this sky walk!!

There is an old bungalow. Then there is a sky walk. There are about 300 steps to walk. But the place is difficult to find from main road. The sky walk is in middle of a small forest like region so that there is fresh air, cool breeze. Nature photography can be done here.

Sad to say, this is no skywalk at all. One pays Rs 30 just to walk up and down a staircase. Most of the walk is up or down, not parallel to the ground. The staircase, at no time, reaches tree-top level, so all you're doing is walking through the forest above the ground. No clear view as different from what can be seen on the ground is visible. To add to that, wherever the staircase goes up or down, there are couples in various stages of intimacy that is unnerving and embarrassing to the casual visitor. Taking photographs in such a situation is also not on...

Unfortunately, this is far from being a skywalk. Instead, it's simply an expensive staircase where you pay $30 just to go up and down. Most of the walk involves ascending or descending, rather than moving parallel to the ground. Moreover, the staircase never reaches a height where you can truly experience the tree-top level, so all you're really doing is walking through the forest above the ground. There's no clear view that distinguishes it from what you can see on the ground. Adding to the disappointment, wherever the staircase goes up or down, you encounter couples engaged in various stages of intimacy. This can be unsettling and embarrassing for casual visitors. In such an uncomfortable situation, it's also inappropriate to take photographs.

The sky walk is really mesmerising and breathtaking.. Absolutely beautiful and enjoyed it even though the Bunglow was under repairs. One can spend time with their loved ones and take many photos as it provides scenic views. The sky walk is surrounded by green trees and thus, you won't feel much warm during the day. I would say, it would be a good idea if you could visit this place after a small rain shower followed by gentle breeze. It would really help to feel the nature and the surroundings

Banglavu Kunnu (Bungalow Hill) is a bungalow located in Nilambur. It was built by the Imperial Forest Service in 1929 under British colonial rule. The original purpose of the bungalow was to see the approach of the Tippu Sultan's army via Nadukani Churam. It is situated in Chandakunnu near the Chaliyar River. The bungalow is surrounded by 100-year-old mahogany trees planted during the colonial times for their use as timber which were to be shipped to Portugal by the Portuguese. This practice was threatened by the resistance of the people of the Malabar region against the brutality of the Portuguese, which was stiff and ultimately resulted in victory. The place is home to many varieties of flora and fauna. The major wild animals include the bonnet macaque, gray langur, wild boar, junglefowl, hare, and porcupine.

Bungalows (Closed) is under Maintenance (Will take atleast 6 months to complete) . Mainly Couples visits here. They spend 2 to 3 hours here. Fees Rs 40 per Adult. Rs 10 for children. Couples spends time in sky walk
