If you love elephants, its the best place to visit. You can bath the elephants in the backwaters ( if you want to witness bathing of elephants you should be there by 8:30 am )and you can even have a ride on elephant. During my visit the show stealer was absolutely the baby elephant :) Recommend: 5/5
Place where elephants are tamed and trained. If you reach by 10 am, you could see mahouts taking elephants for a bath in the Tunga reservoir. You can also get a view of the Tunga Dam from this place. You can buy tickets to bath the elephants and also enjoy elephant safari. They take you for a small ride over the elephant inside the premises.. All age groups can enjoy here.
Such a adventurous place to visit , if you are interested in elephant ride then must visit place there are around 15-20 elephants come in the morning for bathing
Amazing experience here with family. The cottage was maintained very well and was hygienic. The staff are very courteous. Food here was the best. Have never experienced food as good as here in any other resort. We get first hand experience about the life of elephants and mahouts. We had evening walk to the elephant shelter and an early morning small trek / trail into the forest near by. Highly recommended to be visited.
Wonderful place to see these beautiful creatures at such a close distance. Definitely a must visit place if you have children, since they would love the most to see these beautiful animals of the wild. They have from young to old elephants in this camp. some come eat/play and then go back to the forest, others are kept behind if they need medical assistance or other help. it is an wonderful sight to see them play, take bath, eat their food etc. If you are an animal lover please do visit this place, else dont go and waste your time. Would definitely recommend this place for small children.
Awesome place to spend time. We went here in the morning around 9. Got to see Soo many elephants. This is the time they are brought to this camp for bath from the forest. There are some young elephants here and they look really adorable. Also there is a safari inside the camp. Overall it's best to spend some time around these elephants. But these elephants will be here only upto 12 noon after that they are left back to the forest
Make sure you are there before 11... As after 11.30,the elephants are let off to forest one by one. 8.00 am is even better as you could watch mahouts giving bath to the big ones. Was there at 11 and got an hour to spend time there. Closeness is what this place can offer. Be sensitive and responsible not to disturb them. Some of the elephants are still being trained so u know the risks.. Saw 9 beautiful big guys and decided not to take the elephant ride. Mahouts are quite informed and a chat with them is definitely recommended to know and learn more about the largest land animal...
This is an awesome place to bring one kids. The place will be open from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM on weekdays. There are small elephants and also the bigger ones. They get sophisticated bath in river Tunga. There is a elephant ride here they will charge an amount (idk as I didn't ride one) kids will enjoy that.
