Siuli, the Parcel Cafe in Kolkata is India's 1st postal cafe is definitely a delightful gem and a must-visit for food and coffee enthusiasts. We indulged in their scrumptious veg puff and chicken puff, both bursting with flavors and perfectly baked. The coffee was exceptional, providing a rich and satisfying experience. Siuli's unique concept of combining a cafe with postal services is truly commendable, adding an extra touch of charm to the experience. With great food, excellent coffee, and a creative ambiance, Siuli the Parcel Cafe is a definite winner in every way!
The very fact that it's located within the palatial GPO building makes it worth a visit. The sky-high ceiling and tall windows make up for the lack of air-conditioning. The biggest drawback is the menu -- they only serve a few snacks like cakes, cookies, patties, sandwiches (which they acquire from Monginis) and tea/coffee. It's a decent, pocket-friendly place to spend an evening or two if you're roaming about in the Laldighi area.
I am sorry but this place does justice only to the artistic beauty and not hunger. Couple of weeks ago i was around this place with a friend who i share the same interests in exploring new cafes with. With the new found info from Instagram of a beautiful cafe around we dropped by one afternoon. On reaching we found a menu paper stuck on the counter top having food starting from 25-90rs. We were hungry so we started ordering things up only to hear them having a last piece of hot dog left that seemed cold and stale. Only things available were canned soft drinks and bottled water. It was a total disaster. Having no option left we only could order two cans of thums up and thats it. It isnt a cafe if there isnt any food. And this is NOT a cafe. Sorry not sorry.
The sweetest cafe in town - it's all beautiful with the historical theme of 90's Calcutta & a special connection with the evolution of Postal Service. Its a really good place for evening snacks and seats are quite confortable. People are well behaved. Overall, its a happy-to-go place.
Newly opened cafe runs by postal department at the heritage GPO building.. The Ambiance Is pretty Cool and The Prices Are Very Reasonable.. You'll get only light snacks here.. One can have quality time with friends and family at very reasonable rate.
Pocket friendly prices and the interior of the cafe is surrounded by post office elegance and the former.... But there limited food items ,hopefully more food items will be added in the future.
This is a really nice Instagram-able spot opened inside GPO premises. You would love to spend some peaceful time here clicking pictures and sampling finger foods. However the menu is limited and a little expensive. This cafe also has a souvenir shop where you can buy t-shirts, scrolls and other stuff. Overall worth a visit if you are in GPO for some work.
