This is one of the most scenic route in Himachal. Sisu is filled with beautiful willow and poplar trees which gives it a switz vibe. Its really comforting to pass through this incredibly peaceful piece of land.

Great Scenic beauties according to the season. Road to Manali are not yet completely reconstructed. However, road can be accessed by LMV's. I visited Rohtang pass and Atal Tunnel. Mesmerizing views.
It is good place where we can enjoy in snow and it is few miles away after the Atal tunnel and it is best place to visit in Feb to April It was the bestest experience in my life to play with snow and if you have come to Manali then you have must to visit
Sissu valley is located a few miles ahead, on the other side of the Atal Tunnel . This area falls in Lahaul District of Himachal ,managed by the Border Roads Organisation . The journey from Atal Tunnel to Sissu Valley itself is breathtaking, with fresh mountain air, Chandrabhaga ( Chenab) river flowing on one side amidst snow covered mountains and valleys ...so far it seems unspoilt by tourism . In March 2023 , we were welcomed by a fresh blanket of snow!! It was powdery and flaky, our feet were sinking ,snow boots are advisable...there are ziplines for the adventure seekers . There was just 1 food stall which was open ,we had piping hot Maggi and chai (tea) . They were serving omelette too . Govt run Atal Cafe was closed . Tourists are allowed till about 4 pm, so one can plan the trip accordingly . One may get stuck in traffic jam too .
Good getaway, bit it can be crowded with tourists and the snow is not alwways fresh, guides might scam you and not take you to upper region were there are lesser people

Beautiful little Dhaba, on the way down to the river in Old Manali. Uma makes the most delicious Siddu and great Masala Chai. Shes a lovely lady, so friendly and good atmosphere there. Recommended stopping by to try her famous Siddu.
