The vibe is real on Tuesdays!! If you are planning to visit on Tuesdays then plan early in the morning it takes a minimum of two hours in queue and parking facilities are not organised so be prepared . Other than Tuesdays we can easily worship murugan. #some how it has been connected to me. #I'm having a 25 week streak going
A simple temple sthalam situated to the north of Chennai ... this temple has such a legacy that it is believed by the devotees that things that we wish and pray for will surely happen ... many people come here to pray especially to build their own house and in hopes to find their life partner for a happy married life.... Devotees who pray to build or own a house arrange bricks in the temple sthala and it is believed to happen and once their wish comes true they need to visit the temple again to show their gratitude ... same with the people who are single and want to married who find difficulties in finding their life partner come and get a garland from the murugan and valli sthalam and once their prayers come true they need come together as a couple with their partner... the place feels divine and surely powerful... no parking space and we need to wait for around 30 mins and on Tuesday's more than an hour as that's a special day of the week for murugan..
My first visit to worship lord balasubramanya swami here at Siruvapuri!! I've heard a lot about this temple and its blessings. But now only I am able to make a visit, that too on a Tuesday. Huge crowd in the early morning itself. There are three separate ways to enter for dharshan. 1. Common dharshan (which is free) 2. Rs50 entry 3. Rs100 entry. I went in the last entry and that queue itself is too long and took almost one hour and 15 mins to get inside. As usual, people who have influence make their entry without standing in any queue. Adhellam parkarappo irritate aaguthu but enna seyya?! At last I got a nice dharshan of lord shri balasubramanyar!! The people around the village sell vegetables and greens just outside the temple and they're so fresh and affordable prices!
Nice very famous Lord Murugan Temple in the outskirts of Chennai. If you want to avoid the crowd, skip Tuesday. Sunday also you have to reach the temple by 6 AM. The temple is opening at 7 AM. Parking place is there after the Temple. But the road is too narrow.
