Great place amazing food Old temple City
In Sirkazhi railway station, i was upset after observing the following basic amenities lacking there: 1. Drinking water bottles and /or food is not available in station premises. 2. We had to sit on platform with mosquitoes biting us. Fans are available but they are never switched on. 3. There is no display of coach nos. on the platform. Just imagine as to how to get into our allotted bogie no. when the train stops for one minute only. 4.Road leading to railway station main entrance has no proper lighting. Above observed points are mentioned for passengers welfare only. Hope railway authorities react and facilitate above basic amenities immediately. Regards..
Sirkali is most historical place
Neat maintenance. Enough space for parking. Nice staffs. Hundreds of people using this station per day. But no proper announcement for train arrivals. 11 Diviyadesam you can reach from here. Also famous Siva temples are around Sirkali. From this station Sirkali new bus stand is 2.5km. old bus stand 2km.
Sirkazhi railway station is away from the town and surrounded by paddy fields and greenery. A relatively calm place and lovely atmosphere. Transport facility by private car, Autos available. A new railway station building with more facilities and additional platform have been added.The old railway station building was abandoned. I still remember meeting my uncle (Sinna Mama), at Sirkazhi in May1971 when I returned from Bombay after treatment at Bombay Hospital. It was such an emotional meeting.
Clean and neat atmosphere. Connecting to the new bus stand nearly 2.5km and old bus stand is 2 km from railway station. Automatic Ticket machine is available at ticket counter.
