Birth place of one of the finest engineer of India. The museum gives insights into the life of Sir M V. We can see his well preserved personal belongings.

Very calm and peaceful place. Unfortunately the museum and birth place was closed at 5 pm itself by the time we reached. But Samadhi was open. Restroom facilities are available too.

Visited Sree Vishweshwarayya's houses, one of which is a small museum exhibiting articles from his life and his samadhi. Nice and calm place. Very happy to have visited the place. If you are passing through Chikkaballapura and have an hour to spare, then the detour to visit this place is worth it.

Muddenahalli is a memorial of Sir M. V. located on the family-owned land, the house which he born converted into a Museum with the Nandi Hills as a backdrop. Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya was the first engineer of India. His birthday, September 15 is celebrated as Engineer's Day in India every year. Visvesvaraya was appointed as the Diwan of Mysore. He was the chief engineer responsible for the construction of the Krishna Raja Sagara Dam in Mysore. Under his Dewanship, Mysore had undergone a major transformation in the realms of agriculture, irrigation, industrialization, education, banking and commerce. Known world over for his contribution to harnessing water resources, Visvesvaraya was, among other things, responsible for the building and consolidation of dams across the country. He is also credited with inventing the Block System -- automated doors that close in the conditions of overflow

We couldn't visit the museum as it opens at 11am. We could only go to Sir. MV's Samadhi. Being a civil engineer, for me Sir MV is a role model. His honesty, hard work and intelligence are noteworthy!
