Visited Sindu hospital at camp road chennai for cataract operation for my right eye. The atmosphere is very neat and beautiful and staff are very caretaking. The operation done by Dr. Karunanidhi is very nice. He is very soft spoken and gave very good advice to take care of the eyes. A visit will give you full satisfaction
Dr. Karunanithi is highly experienced and talented. He speaks very convincingly. But he is money minded person. In my case, I went for yearly eye checkup. After checking eyes, he said I need to undergo cataract surgery immediately. When I tried to buy time, he said, cataract is in very advanced stage, so if you delay, you may loose eye sight. Then he called his nurse and scheduled for surgery very next day. He said it may come around rupees 55 to 60 thousand because he will implant imported lens. Since I was not convinced, I decided to go for 2nd opinion. After 3 days, gone to another Ophthalmologist. She said every thing is fine and recommended for progressive lens. Since she did not say anything about cataract, I asked specifically. She said it is in very very early stage. Nothing to worry. Just use progressive lens. Since I got two different results, decided to go for 3rd opinion. Gone to one of very well known and highly experienced Ophthalmologist in Chennai. He checked my eyes and said everything is fine and suggested to use progressive lens. Even he did not say anything about cataract. So I asked him specifically. He said, it is negligible. It is nothing. Do not worry. So if anyone asked to undergo surgery by Dr. Karunanithi, please go for 2nd opinion.
There won't be any crowd at all but still they make you sit for hours just to show off the crowd. After wasting your time you will find why there is no crowd at all. Doctor will not come on time and they treat you like you came treatment for free of cost.
I am pleased to say that i underwent cateract surgery for both of my eyes in M/s.Sindu Hospital at Camp Road. Dr.Karunanidhi took utmost care during the procedure.His pleasing approach is very much admirable.The assisting staff are so polite and humble with patients.The hospital has good environment .Post procedure i got clear vision.
