Lovely hotel with view of Kanchanjungha from rooms and balcony. Excellent service in all departments of the hotel, starting from the front office to house keeping. Breakfast spread is nice and sumptuous. You'll love it. Rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. Washroom could be better, though functional. Location is very nice, but not suitable for elderly people or people with disabilities. You have to walk 100 meters steep and then climb stairs.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing view of the kanchenjunga from the room and common balcony. Good breakfast. Table tennis and other indoor games are very good for kids. There was a huge traffic jam the day we arrived. So we got down and walked up to the hotel. The hotel was kind enough to send its staff and pick up the luggage. Special mention deserved for Pragya at the reception and a young man with spectacles in the restaurant (forgot his name). Also good work by Yogen, Swarajya, Sanjok, Anju, Suneeta. The hotel is located up the hill. So some preplanning is required. The hotel shuttle service to be utilised for going up and down the hill. Senior citizens to take note as there is a significant climb. For others it is fantastic fitness activity. Traveldesk organised a very good innova for pick up from Bagdogra. The cars organised for day trips and Sikkim drop can be improved.

The room was very old and dirty. There were earthworms in the commode of the bathroom. No amenities, hair dryer in the bathroom. The services and rooms are not worth the price. But the breakfast was good.

I recently had a the pleasure of staying at a charming hotel nestled slightly up in the hills, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. From the movement I arrived, I was greeted with warm and amicable service by Ms Smriti Rasaily, made me feel right at home. Kindly improve upon guest relations. The local mindset that tourist are aliens and tourist will be according to your mindset and culture is wrong. Gorkhaland agitation is quite visible on your face and your disliking for the remaining . Room service may please be improved. Online booking facility till payment may please be done. In this era of tech development please shed away the old system of calling and asking for rooms and payments.

Slightly up in the Hills a beautiful hotel that serves a decent blend of food with amicable services. They have their transport services as well . Best part is the view of Kanchenjunga . Note : One point they need to improve is their readiness towards any health issues faced by guest as the area holds a very few medical stores. Apart from that everything is good

Sinclairs Darjeeling is located in a peaceful and quite place even though it's just a walking distance from Mall. At night no noise at all hence, even at peak season no partys were hosted. The staff was really nice too. The front desk helped in canceling and rebooking a car for us too. The breakfast is delicious and the complimentary tea that they serve after we check in was the best tea I have drunk. The room and bathroom was clean and tidy. The mall was hardy a 3-4 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is located in a narrow-ish pathway that is very very steep and one of the cons. It will be troublesome if an elderly person. There are approximately 30-40 steps to go up to the lower deck i.e Reception and is another cons. Thought these problems people sould give this hotel a try. Otherwise it is worthy to stay in this Hotel. Room Tariff is a little high. However ,I would prefer to visit the Hotel again.

Excellent hotel! It's bit of a climb from the main street but it offers amazing views of the Kanchenjunga mountain. Even if you get a room without the mountain view, there are multiple locations in the hotel (common balcony at each floor + common space at reception) from where you will get the prized view. Indeed, I just woke up early one morning (around 5:30 am), put on some warm clothes and went to the balcony to catch the glimpse of the first rays of sunlight lighting up the peaks of Kanchenjunga and the adjacent mountains. Plus in the photos I could capture it against the beautiful foreground of the Darjeeling city. It was marvelous! The staff are so courteous and friendly, it's beyond words. We had an early flight to catch so they packed us a breakfast to carry with us without we even mentioning once. They took care of all the small details of our stay. They arranged airport pick up same drop as well as car for local sight seeing (extra charge, of course), everything was so seamless. One last thing: their breakfast buffet is to die for!! So much variety and the food was very refined, just like what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Thanks a lot Sinclair for making this an amazing vacation!
