My recent dining experience at this restaurant was a mix of impressions. The food, unfortunately, fell short of expectations and could be described as average at best. Also, the spread was very minimal. On a positive note, the service was a standout aspect of the evening. The staff was attentive, friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. The decor and lighting created a pleasing atmosphere, making it an enjoyable place to spend time with friends or family. The ambiance was comfortable, adding to the overall positive vibes of the restaurant.

We dropped in here for a quick lunch before winding off our weekend vacay in Kodaikanal. Silver Oak restaurant was extremely top-tier with courteous and polite staff. The food was decent. But I must appreciate the staff who were so humble and down to earth. They kept reassuring and serving us even without us asking. Honestly experienced sweet gestures from their side. Their hospitality is what attracted me the most about this place. Being a 5-Star hotel, it definitely proves its standards. Last but not the least, choose this place for the most beautiful lake view one can find in Kodai hills. Absolutely beautiful.

I would definitely say with a humble human being like Michael, it's worth visiting this place. Impressed with everyone on how they treated but more by Michael. Appreciate for the way we were welcomed and treated

Really enjoyed. Very close to the Kodai lake. Nice food, wide-spread varieties & very tasty. Staff are neat & friendly. Really really good. Would recommend.

The ambience plays a huge part in the experience. Being the only hotel right upon the kodai lake, it provides a great view. The food is okayish and can be improved variety and taste wise.

Wonderful place for fine dining. Good variety and reasonable prices for that category of hotel. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Location, views and ambiance are great.

We had visited the restaurant yesterday for dinner and they serve buffet priced Rs1600 per head. For the price paid the food was not up to the mark at all. However I do say that the manager and staff were really good. Only disappointment was the food which lacked flavour and not much non veg variety. The dessert section was another disaster - the shahi tukda was very hard , custard was not good, only the gulab jamun was good. From Carlton being famous the restaurant doesn't do justice to its name is what I felt. I however cannot comment on the stay which looks splendid with Kodai lake view. I hope my review for the restaurant makes some changes for future.

its really tough to explain the beauty of this place..the view from carlton hotel is so beautiful that i can sit there looking at lake , mountains, nature and everything for hours...visited in october, it was rainy and cold, so take your winter wear to keep warm
