The stay was very pleasant. The people at this property welcome with warmth and love. Iqbal ji treats all the guests nicely and makes sure everything is taken care of. Food is so delicious and whole property is full of luxury whether the rooms or washrooms. I will visit again very soon. Thank you for the happy stay.

We stayed for a day that was nice experience. Property is well maintained by their team. Room is very cozy very beautiful. BUT very very big but is that they provide you gyzer and you get hot water but the water have foul smell and greenish in colour may be it's directly came from lake!! Don't know but over all you should try for once.

I had a wonderful experience staying at this place. Mr. Iqbal ensured that we do not face any issues in our stay and was always available. His humbleness and politeness was unmatchable. Lastly a special thanks to the CHEF "Mr Nasir" - the taste of the food was absolutely delicious be it whether veg or non veg. The type of food he prepared was much above par. We really enjoyed our stay and their service. Will surely recommend this houseboat to everyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Sikandra Palace house boat. I booked 2 rooms for 4 of us to stay for 1 night. The caretaker (Iqbal) took care of us really well. The food was simple and very tasty. The food tasted like home made and was made with good care and with very little oil. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay. I booked the rooms directly with Zahid (owner of the house boat). He provided all the help needed for the booking.

I absolutely loved the experience, service and hospitality. Thanks to Zahid sahab for making the place feel like home. Food was yumm!!! And how Zahid sahad and the other bhaisahab working with him made that place welcoming can't be explained in words. I felt like at home, and he was like 'bod bobb (grandfather)'. Thank you so much for all the love! The rooms were spacious and clean. My mom and grandmom equally enjoyed the experience. My mom spent hours at the deck enjoying the view of dal lake. I made memories of lifetime!

My stay at Sikandara Palace houseboat was a disappointing experience. The staff's behavior was consistently rude and unprofessional, and the service provided did not meet the expectations given the price of the room. One major issue was their central switch system, which controlled essential amenities like the AC and geyser. The staff frequently switched these off, and we had to repeatedly call reception to have them turned back on. They provided various excuses for not turning on the AC, such as power supply issues or the weather being cool enough. Our checkout experience was also problematic. We had informed them during check-in that we needed to check out early at 7 am due to a flight to catch. Despite this, we didn't have hot water for a bath, breakfast was served late at 7 am while our driver was waiting, and the boat wasn't called on time, causing delays. When we inquired about these issues, the staff questioned why we had booked a houseboat with a morning checkout and refused to make breakfast arrangements early. They also claimed that using the geyser was a hassle and suggested we take a regular water bath. Overall, my stay at Sikandara Palace houseboat was marred by rude and unhelpful staff, frequent disruptions to essential services, and a lack of consideration for our early checkout needs. Tip: don't book houseboat instead stay at any hotel at dal lake you will get best night view and you can walk breathtaking Srinagar street you can also opt for shikara ride in morning or evening for experience which is only best thing in dal lake Houseboat stay is not worth do not give the lavish feeling as shown on photos also you can go out of housboat frequently and all ride as chargeable (excluding check in and out ride) note- shikara ride i.e drop to houseboat closes at 8:00pm and you are stuck in houseboat room for rest of the night.

Excellent location and hospitality from the caretakers as well as the owner. Fabulous views of sunrise and the Zabarwan mountains start the morning, with the floating market located 5 minutes away. Strongly recommended for couples

It was a disappointing experience at Shikandra Palace Group of Hotels. There was a frequent power cut in the house boats and help staff not bothered to check and moreover ROOM HEATER is not working at all. As we stayed during Nov which is the onset of Winter season, it was extremely chill and unable to bear the cold.
