Siddhnath Temple Chopasni - Hindu temple in Jodhpur - Jodhpur, India

Siddhnath temple is a Shiva temple located in Jodhpur. It has two stairways, one near the pump-house and the other one a little bit away from it. The one away from the pump-house eventually connects to the one near it and is basically a warm up. When you reach the one near the pump-house you get to see the famous Kailana lake.the journey to the temple is 350 steps and 500 meters (approx.) from the pump-house stairway at a 75 degree incline and becomes 1.5km long(approx.) when you go through the cave route but whether you take the cave route or the straight route is your choice. If you choose to go through the cave route I would recommend you go to the temple through the cave route and return through the straight route but you could choose to do vice-versa. Best time to visit in the winters is after 7 A.M. and in the summers it's 6A.M. Every single step is a whole new and divine experience and when I say it I mean it. You get scenic views of Kailana Lake, the hill, The Old Jodhpur City and much more. This place is exactly synonymous to that one saying: "sometimes, the journey is more beautiful than the destination." Although I may have posted pictures of the place, you will be missing out a lot more than you are able to see in the pictures because the spiritual and divine feeling, the beauty of just about everything here, not everything can be captured in digital devices and some things just have to be felt, seen and heard in person...

I along with my Yoga mates went for tracking. It was refreshing and energetic outing. Simply awesome.

This place is fully amezing and fantastic place to feel the nature.... it's give osm feeling when you visit this place...there are many temples like lord Shiva, lord Hanuman ...etc..and on this siddnath mountain you can see the whole jodhpur seen from the top ....

The Shri Sidhnath Temple which is located on Top of the Jodhpur City.. I visited this location In August 2016 when i visited India... I find real peace there ... There are bundles of monkeys you will find there ... I visited it with my friend Mukesh who lives Jodhpur City...

SIDDHANTH SHIV TEMPLE, JODHPUR Siddhanth Shiv temple of Jodhpur, Rajasthan lies between Takhat Sagar hills. One has to first take up the road going from the right of filter house on Jodhpur-Chopasani Road. Then, only after crossing the stairs made by cutting rocks, one can reach Siddhnath temple. The place where the temple now stands was absolutely deserted many years ago. Because of its isolation and peace, a hermit Veetragi Narain Swami started staying here. He was a saint, highly worshipped and respected in the nearby areas. At some point of time, a handicapped saint named Gaurishanker, later known as Nepali Baba, also came to this place. He had only four fingers in each of his hand and foot. Nepali Baba, himself, made a big temple by cutting stones. This temple is now known as Siddhnath Shiv Temple.

It was awesome to be there early morning on Monday. There was a little rush, yet the place was beyond describing. Will definitely go there again. Om namah shivay
