I had always thought that enjoying good food at modest rates was only a thing which was unique to the city of Kolkata, until I visited this restaurant. I was recommended this place by a passerby in the fort area as I was in the mood to eat some light veg food . But, when I entered this restaurant I was pleasantly surprised.. Outwardly, this place doesn't look like much but it makes up for it by serving some really tasty veg meals at really honest ( some might say even cheap) prices. The quality of the food was quite good and also the service. Although I had ordered just a special veg meal; I ate it, to my heart's content and then some.. Looking back at my experience today, I can only guess that the management of this restaurant is motivated by some spirit of community service which makes serve such quality food at such moderate rates.. I wish them best of luck and hope they keep up the good work.
One of the popular restaurant in fort area for vegetarian food.Mostly crowded during lunch period. Nearby office employees came at regular basis.Food quality is very good at most affordable price.You can eat Rice plate,Purji bhaji,Misal Pav etc like itmes here..One thing I personally didn't like that, Seating arrangement.The bench for sitting is not ideal for two person siting next to each other.
Really nice & economical restaurant with home like food in north indian style. Food was slightly spicy but was well compensated with the sweet provided in the thalis. Staff was also very generous and polite.
