Really nice place to go for a Trek. The view at the top is worth the hiking. It might be difficult for those who are beginner to hiking cause you have to climb the hill with your bare foot.

- If you are looking for a quick trek in and around Bangalore . - If you have not done any booking and want to explorer places that are half day away from Bangalore. - If you want to have a slight spiritual angle to your trek. - If you are planning to experience a bare foot trek. Then Siddara betta is the place to visit and explore. It is about 105 kms from Bangalore. Google Maps is your good friend to reach the base of the trek of the trek point. The trek is a easy to moderate kind of trek . The trek has a step climb. There is a clear instruction at the beginning of the trek to do it a bare foot. Believe me its a worth doing it on a bare foot. The Karnataka tourism has a website to book . Book through them if you want to visit the cave that will be shown by the guide manjunath. If you are planning to do on your own then you need not rely on him and go without booking the same. As you reach the top after climbing the stairs you can take a left to reach the Shiva temple and there are a few rocky spots to the right. There is a pond in Shiva temple where the water gets filled every time few buckets are filled and it never overflows. The source of water is not known. Its about 6 feet deep. Please carry towel , extra pair of clothes . The temple priest suggests you to take a quick bath before you can take the darshan of god. It feels great to get wet in the cold water and take the darshan . It will take a hour to trek to the top , where you can munch some snacks you have carried on the way . If you have not , then you get a few on the way to the top of trek. There are lot of monkey at the top , you can also feed them as well. . This is a nice half day trek from Bangalore. You will feel refreshing and energised after this trek . The best part of the trek is it can be done by family members as well. #trekking #bangalore #siddarabette #spiritualtrek

This place is for both trekkers and devotees, if you really want to enjoy please go without footwear, steps are made till the sidddeshwara temple. after reaching the cave temple they pour holy water on you, all the fatigue and heat of hiking vanish in a second. that was special experience of my life, dont miss it, if dont want to take bath they will just pour on head go for it. later seek blessings of lord siddeshwara. then you can proceed further till fort.

A must visit place. You will find Lord Shiva Shivling on the top of the hill. Also you get chance to explore samadhi of saints underground the cave.

It's a pilgrimage site and hence you cannot wear shoes or footwear, if you want to trek. The locals object as each step is considered as a deity. It has steps throughout and the climb is moderately difficult. Monkeys are present. Fitbit steps: Close to 6,000 (both ways)

Nice hill for one day trekking with friends. Make sure to carry sufficient water. There is a temple on the top of the hill. Once you climb the hill and after you take bath in holy water you'll find extremely peaceful. We can move up through the huge boulders. It will give you a cave exploring experience. Further up you can find ruins of old houses, overall its wonderful soothing experience.

A very nice view point is available at the top. But I prefer you to carry food to eat because there are no hotels with hygiene maintained.
