On contrary to trek distance mentioned in several sites, this is just a 2.7km trek from the base of the hill. There is also no need to purchase permit ticket as stated in few websites. The climb is easy level but for a beginner this is a moderator level trek. The trek can be completed in 1-hr one side. The visitors must leave their footwear at base of the hill though this is not mandatory. On the top, if you take a right turn then you can walk for few minutes on Rocky surfaces and have a surreal view of hills around.
Love this place, This place is for both trekkers and devotees, if you really want to enjoy please go without footwear, steps are made till the sidddeshwara temple. after reaching the cave temple they pour holy water on you, all the fatigue and heat of hiking vanish in a second. that was special experience of my life, dont miss it, if dont want to take bath they will just pour on head go for it. later seek blessings of lord siddeshwara. then you can proceed further till fort.
It's a beautiful temple located nearby madhugiri ( Tumkur)...a must visit place for everyone.... temple is above the Hill's...you guys have to Trek to reach ...above view' is greenery ..inside the temple vibes will be amazing and mesmerizing...view is fabulous...... amazing one for photographers and photo lovers....I recommend everyone to visit ...
Moderate level trekking experience. Initial steps are bit tiring compared to the later trail. You will find cave temple mid way and you have to proceed further if you are looking for a real trekking/adventure experience. Locals don't recommend you to proceed further from the cave temple for some strange reason. You will find a huge rock at the top of the hill. There are ruins of the fort as well.
Best tourist place, need to climb for an hour to reach the peak point \, be hydrated, carry water bottles, and don't bring/eat snacks at the top of the hill, monkeys will snatch if they find any food items, or else no worries regarding monkeys, enjoy the nature .
Holy place temple had oldest history in puranas. Sanjeevini plant will be present here as per history. We can go with family for temple Darshan. Main shivalinga is above the hill top and and holy water is considered has theertha, many of them will take holy water to their home. Other temple situated hill downside we can do Pooja here also. Many people will come and trek the Siddarabetta hill it was very good, Beautiful nature and views.
It's one of the most divine places for me. I get goosebumps Each and every time I go up the hill, take a bath in icy water and take a look at the Shivalinga. All the tiredness you will have once you go up the hill will vanish as soon as The water from the well falls on your head, it's just magical. Trekking the hill is easy it's just a 30 min trek to the temple if you're active. Apart from this explore the place behind the temple and the nature over there is mesmerizing.
Trek level is easy and it's picturesque! Rain added more beauty to it! Usually the good time to visit is either early morning or early evenings! Once you reach the peak you feel the chillness inside the cave. They also pour a bucket or tumbler of water which is meant to holy which also feels great! Do try it out! At the peak the main attraction is lord Shiva!
