Urns containing Krishna Verma's ashes, those of his wife, and a gallery dedicated to earlier activists of Indian independence movement is housed within the memorial. The giant statue of Mahatma on his spinning wheel is an impressive sight. The entire complex is extremely well-maintained and offers calm and quiet environment to the visitor. This is a memorial to the couple who set up India House in London and supported and groomed many of India's freedom fighters in the early 1900's. It is operated and maintained by the Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd, and they are doing a wonderful job. A must visit for anyone traveling to Kachch.

Very well designed and maintained memorial. Replica of India House and pictures and history of freedom fighters including the role of Shyamji Krishna Varma is a treat and an eye opener. It would appear history is being written. Wonder how and why such heroes were never talked or taught in schools
