Shyama Sarovar Portico Orai - Resort hotel in Maukhri, Orai - Jalaun, India

This place no matter how beautifully made is a sham to the chain Sarovar Portico. The staff is extremely lazy and show no interest in work be it serving, cleaning and the reception staff is nothing but there to cheat the guests. Non vegetarian snacks and vegetarian snacks were being served in the same plate. The staff had no slightest idea of what they were serving. The food was of very average quality. Had a terrible experience with the reception staff, especially Mr.Arun and Ms. Ankita who were over charging us for the room card which I have never experienced any other hotel charging for. Staff needs to be more courteous and the staff needs to be trained better. Another incident where the hotel staff almost stole a purse. The rooms have a weird smell and the bathrooms don't have running hot water. Bad experience with the staff. A beautiful property but bad hospitality brings it all down.

The restaurant ambience is very good, tasty food. Service is good at remote location. The rooms are very much beautiful. Some are honeymoon suites, some are suites. Architecture of hotel is indonesian style. Quite attractive. But no happening places nearby. This hotel is at outskirts of orai

The best place to visit nearby Kanpur and Jhansi I can assure you it's the best place in between these two cities approximately 200 km range. Personally I like the location it's on highway. I beat it multiple hotels across the country in Pondicherry, in Mumbai. I find it competitive enough with those 3 to 4 star hotels. If you want to stay just go and enjoy the pool bar cafeteria dining etc.

Luxurious stay, rooms were beautifully designed with all amenities. It is on kanpur jhansi Highway. We stayed during our car journey and reached at midnight. The staff were very courteous and supportive. I must recommend staying at urai. No other hotel can match. The restaurant ambience was awesome. We enjoyed photography in this hotel as it is designed in Malaysian style. Loved the stay.

The place was fantabulous and it met all expectations. Amazing food along with exceptional staff and service. The place has an altogether luxurious resort vibe which creates a relaxing and comforting atmosphere. Must visit hotel for everyone. The room has all the four star amenities with great service.

I had the worst experience staying there for a day. Everything is so bad there including staff, maintainance, hospitality and facilities. The team there is so unprofessional. The AC of the rooms don't work. They asked us to switch the room but in the next room Lights including AC was not functional. Even their staff was not knowing how to off the lights and on the night light. You'll get boiling water in the shower in this extreme hot summers. They don't even bother to serve the clients. Reception start ignoring you if you'll raise the issues. The restaurant team takes 1 hour to prepare the simple Indian lunch after order. The service is very slow and poor. The property doesn't have chilled drinking water to serve to customer. AC's of their full property is not at all functional including reception, restuarant, rooms & banquets. In just one day, 3 families got stuck in the lift for around 10 mins. Visit at your own risk. If you're planning to visit this property on you vacation, then i would recommend you to stay at home. This will be the complete waste of money.

This is the worst property I've visited in my life. The staff is so unprofessional and rude. You'll face the issues at every corner of the property (rooms, resturant area, banquet, open area) The Ac is not functional in the complete property, lift gets stuck in between for 10-15 mins, boiling water in the shower in this extreme summers, cold drinking water not available, lights of the rooms don't work (even the staff doesn't know how to use) They will charge you for everything but will not allow to even sit near to pool area. They do charge for the things that you've not consumed. The reception team asked me to pay for the cold drinks that I never drank. They put some drinks in the mini fridge and then ask customer to pay for that even if they have not used. The staff will complete deny to remove the amount from the bill. Worst resort, poor experience, 0 professional services Full waste of money
