Also known as Rajmachi Fort Small cars can face difficulty to reach base in that case you have to part around 3-3.5 km away from the base village and have to take walk to base village. Bike and SUVs can reach to the base village depending on weather and road conditions. Easy to hike Scenic view from the top. Watch tower for many other forts nearby

A very easy hike with a nice trail. A must do for the view on top, spotted a water pond on top as well.

Clean and well maintained. Take a share cab from Lonavala for Rajmachi village and directly reach the base of the fort, if you want to skip the trek and see both the fortresses. If you like a good, back breaking trek then start from Kondivade- Karjat. Enjoy!!

One of the best forts I have seen. Best season to visit is mansoon. It will be better to go by your own bike. Rental cars are available but due to bad road conditions their rents are too high, so better to go by bike. Places to visit: shrivardhan balekilla , manranjan balekilla , kataldhar waterfalls.

One the best place to go for treak in mansoon. Visited on 17 june 2018 . In mansoon , due to muddy road it becomes difficult to ride on roads... We had walked for almost 6kms till the base of fort. Riders can take bike all over till the base..but muddy roads increases the difficulty level. Was an Awesome experience. We went at the start of mansoon so didnt experience any waterfall. Note : Rajmachi has two forts one is Manranjan and other is Shrivardhana. The photos added are of only Shrivardhana. Before planning to visit , try to go early in the morning so that u can visit both ballekilla.

Start of the rainy season and the amazing whether start to greet you.. Rajmachi is one of the best known place for the two forts - Manranjan and Shreewardhan fort. The history says that this 2 forts were built by maharaj Shivaji to collect taxes. The amazing beauty at the top of the mountain is worth watching. The fire flies, the evergreen grass, the sorroudings, the rain will make you Love this place. You can visit here by 2 or 4 wheelers, this is also famous for trekking, it's a 15 Km run. You can arrange for your stay at villege Rajmachi, the local residents provide you the accomodation and food. Camp facility is also available. A must visit place in rainy season.

Nice place for light trekking. But dont dare to go there by two wheeler on rainy season. As here road become too muddy. And beware from mosquito bites, there were too many.

Excellent location for overnight camping or short track, this is near lonavala. You can do offroading as well for reaching to this location. Base village udhewadi has lot of options for stay, eat small shop for cold drink and snacks.this udhewadi has small lake Temple and two forts manoranjan and shreewardhan. There are two ways to reach the Rajmachi fort, one is from Lonavala, roughly 15 km flat walk and the other one is from Karjat, a gradual climb of around 5 km. For beginners, it would be better to trek from Lonavala as this is a much easier path. It will take about 5 hours of hiking to reach Udhewadi, the base of Rajmachi fort by this route. Only SUVs can reach Udhewadi village which is situated at the base of Rajmachi Fort to avoid 15 km long trek. The route from Kondivade village near Karjat is tough and involves climb-up of about 2000 feet. From Kondivade village one can reach Rajmachi via the Kondhane village and visit the ancient Kondhane Buddhist caves on the way. The caves are 3 km away from Kondivade village and has mototable road. The trek to Rajmachi fort starts from Kondhane Caves, which is about 5 km from the fort. It takes around 3-4 hours to reach Rajmachi from Kondhane Caves.
