It is a great Vaiknta means Venkateshwara Temple. It is sithuvated at a small hill. We go by steps. It is having one KONERU WITH FULL OF WATER. THE GOLD LORD VENKATESHWARA IDOLE. IT is very old temple in Kolar dist. It is having a big hall with all facilities for marriages. There are many devotional functions are conducting by Temple. This is the TTD DEVASTANAM UNDER. IT IS ALSO HAVING GUUEST HOUSE ALSO TO STAY.
Good place to have a close darshan of Lord Venkateshwara Swamy. I had visited the evening before the Vaikuntha Ekadashi and had the opportunity to witness the decoration and grandness that was in store for the next day. Photos added to the review.
Nice temple.. Looks like Udupi when you are taking darshana of Venkateshwara.. Entrance a varaha Swamy temple and a kalyani you can see.. Then we need to climb around 50-60 steps. A small place near the temple will come with less number of steps.. Anyhow on the way to avani hills and koti lingeshwara you can take a chance to visit. 1-2km away from the main road.. Plenty of shops available nearby. Parking is available.
Such a beautiful place too visit during weekdays, less crowd and peaceful darshan. The temple in this small stone hill is a great one time visit with family. The monkeys greet you whole climbing the stairs, make sure you feed them healthy snacks instead of biscuits.
The Bangaru Tirupati balaji temple in Kolar district is one more religious place you can include while visiting some temples like Kotilingeshwara or Anjaneya temple (Mulbagal) etc. The temple is a little above 100 kms from Bengaluru and about 30 kms from Bangarpet which is the nearest railway station. The temple is atop of a small hill and there are well-laid stone steps of less than 100. Of course, these steps are in 3 phases and there are places all around where you can sit and relax before you continue your journey. Though the temple is small and so also the idol can be viewed only through a small window like in Udupi Krishna temple. The idol viewed from the gold-covered window of 6 compartments is well decorated and any devotee visiting the temple immediately is immersed in devotion without exception. There is a Kalyani / Pushkarini within the temple complex, albeit the water requires purification. The devotees should be careful since some monkeys roam around---you should take care of your belongings esp the fruits and/or eatables which attract the attention of the monkeys. Don't miss the garuda installed on the temple tower (gopuram) while you go by the stairs. Next to the Balaji temple, on a similar hill, you can also visit the Lakshmi temple which also undoubtedly reverberates with serenity. There is no dearth of parking place near the temple and also you can find toilets.
Who ever are going for koti lingeshwara should visit place if it is not seperately planned, it is just 10 km from it and the road is completely empty and neat. Brigha maharshi worshiped lord Vishnu and the god came there as a swayambu. Nice place with your family. 100 to 150 steps will be there to visit the main temple and it is not over crowded temple.
After visited Avani betta and Temple take direction to Bangaru Tirupati Guttahalli lord venkateshwara. Just 20 minutes drive frome here around 11 km. This is one of the tourist place in Kolar . When i was visited there celebrating Ekadashi hence from down to top full filled by flower decoration. In middle attraction is Kalyani filled by pure water. Totally serene place.
