Shri Umamaheshwar Hotel - Lodge in Gokarna - Uttara Kannada, India

Our MakeMyTrip booking for this hotel is a complete disaster! They casually mention no wheelchair accessibility, but conveniently forget to mention the absurd 1-kilometer trek you'll have to endure with zero assistance. Oh, and don't forget, you get the added bonus of lugging your luggage down a flight of steps and then back up to reach the parking. The so-called hotel staff are just a facade. This is beyond frustrating. Brace yourself, MakeMyTrip, for the pictures and a consumer court showdown!

This is one of the worst rooms I have ever stayed. The room was alright but not worth the amount. The water in the bathroom was very unclean, no difference between taking bath in this bathroom or in the beach. There is no wifi service or room service too.

Beach front resort.. very comfortable and safe to stay.. They had restaurant also before.. food served in that restaurant was really tasty and reasonable.. Cleanliness wise also good, washrooms are very clean and water supply is also proper. Hot water available whole day even for shower bath. As a suggestion anyone can choose this resort if you visit Kudle Beach Gokarna.

It's very good option to stay near to beach . 2 mins walk to the kudle beach. It's good to select Deluxe or semi deluxe room as You might find some cleanliness issue in standard rooms with lil extra charges. I will not recommend to use filter water instead you can buy water bottle and drink. It's ours responsibility also to keep place clean.

Rooms have bed bugs. Although they have offered other rooms but in front of them i have shown bed bugs on other rooms as well. No basic amenities available like drinking water, for room cleaning you have to go and inform them. If you don't ask them for cleaning then it won't be cleaned for your entire stay. Worst part is they took 1800rs for AC room per night but ac will be switched off at night and you can't use it. Once you sleep the ac will be switched off. I have stayed 3 nights and every night I faced the same issue. I think they have master switch on reception. For reference i have posted pictures of ac which shows light on main box but ac is not on. Also it keeps switching on and off multiple times at night. Room does not have tv, fridge, electric kettle. So for 1800rs you will get only one room for one night with bed bugs nothing else. Afternoon most of them go outside to explore so ac will not be used and at night ac does not work so it's a regular room. When you switch on ac it makes very proud sound in the pipe which is gone from bathroom and it is too irritating. I have attached pic of bathroom with ac pipe. After 2 days I asked them to clean the room and that too they have not cleaned near beds and not cleaned the bathroom. Just few areas they cleaned and left. Don't consider this property as after complaining about bed bugs they don't took any action and at end you will not get good sleep after tired day. I have attached pic of bedbugs which i have thrown from bed and i killed it.

Room Service is for namesake, Even the service boys accepted in front of us that they didn't clean the washrooms. Non-AC Rooms are decent, AC rooms are better. Bedsheets and blankets were not properly cleaned. Only advantage is, it is at the Kudle beach where not much options are available for stays,

It's a decent place to stay in Kulde beach, rooms are clean and the bed is confortable. It's just a 20 meters from the beach. The guesthouse is located at the back the the restaurant front line. So it's quite and still very close to the beach. When you arrive for the first time you access the guesthouse from the beach, you will see a sign between 2 restaurants. Beat is to park at Shivaprasad guest house. It cost R50 for bikes and R100 for cars for 24h. From the parking it's a short walk. You can ask the staff from the guesthouse to help you to carry the luggage if need be for a small tip.

Read the reviews and was really resilient to pick up this room but went for it anyway. The rooms are decent for the money one pays. Its situated right on the beach which is a boon and you can just leave everything in the room and walk into the beach. Yes, the parking was slightly tough to find and it's around a 5 minute walk to the cottages. People who work there would help to get the luggages to the cottages for a small sum. There are so many cafes at walkable distance to try many varieties of food along the beach. Overall, rooms were clean and you get what you pay for!
