shrii svaamii smrth! The holly place where Swami stayed for longest tenure of his life. The place is good and calm. It would be crowded on weekends, so one should plan accordingly. One should keep a bottle of drinking water when in queue for darshan and Prasad. The capacity in temple and annachhatra serving prasad should be increased to avoid waiting in queue for bhaktas. The cleanliness is good inside temple, but odor outside till entrance is bad. Everyone should take care of it. The cleaning of food serving plates and glasses should be improved. The parking is huge to accomodate all type of vehicles.
Akkalkot is the place where Swami Samarth stayed for more than 20 years. It is a 19th-century Hindu monastery established in 1879 and dedicated to Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj, also known as Akkalkot Swami. This Math is also known as the 'Vatavriksha Mandir' as there is a huge banyan tree (Vatavruksha) where Swami Maharaj used to sit under a banyan tree and preach. The temple/ Math consists of 3 parts: A 'Garbhagriha' which is under the Banyan tree, a pradakshina path and a big hall adjoining to it where Bhajans, Kirtans and all other religious programs. The temple opens with the 'Kakad Aarti' at 5:00 am and closes with the 'Shej Aarti' at 9:00 pm. The temple and it's entire area fully filled with positivity. It is always teeming with devotees. The temple committee has proper arrangements for all the facilities like wash rooms, shoe storage, water, distributing Prasad, etc. and they always maintains it properly. There is a facility of meal and stay at Annachatra and Bhakt Nivas which is very close to the temple/ math. I always get peace & satisfaction here whenever I visit this place. Such a nice place. All amenities are provided by the Trust. The roads and buildings are neat and clean. Annachatra where you will typical Maharashtrian food everyday 12:00pm after completing the pray for Swami Samarth Maharaj. They will not charge for the food. it's free to all. Bhakt Niwas is available in this campus where you can stay in night. Some of the MSRTC buses are available from this campus. This campus having very large parking stands where private and state government transport vehicles are parked. Their are multiple things to see in this campus.
A holy place, devotees often visit and fine solace. Though hundreds of people visiting day & night, Reasonably clean.
