Madhava temple, also called Ranga temple, is a temple dedicated to Vishnu and Lakshmi. Outside the main shrine door, a giant Hanuman statue shows him with right hand raised, left fist (damaged) on his thigh and his arched tail above him. Around his waist is a belt with a dagger - also one of the Vijayanagara official emblems. Below Hanuman is a crawling demon killed by Hanuman. The scale emphasizes insignificance of the demonic evil and significance of the good that Hanuman symbolizes, a representation found in many historic Indian arts.
Beautiful temple, but not much to see. Sanctum is empty. Must see a big carving of shree Hanuman. Also there is encryption on the temple wall written in ancient Kannada language.
One of the smaller structures located near the Zenana Enclosure / elephant stables. It's just opposite the watch tower of lotus mahal. The twin shrine temple complex is dedicated to lord Vishnu and his consort Lakshmi. More than anything else, the principal attraction in this temple is the huge slab with the image of Hanuman carved on it.

The Madhawa temple has a Garbhagriha, a vestibule and a large 18 pillared Mukhamantapa. The temple is known for its colossal sculpture of Hanuman three meters high, placed in Mukhamantapa. The Devi shrine is built on a raised Adhisthana of 2.5 meters high.
Ranga/Madhava temple is located in the campus of Lotus Mahal or Elephant's stables. This temple is dedicated to Vishnu and Lakshmi. Their is a statue of Hanuman just outside the main door. This temple looks like must be 15th century temple. It's near to Elephant's stables. I have visited in 2nd week of October, 2019.
A small temple very near to elephants stable and the diety is madhava alias vishnu . It's temple platform is still there but the top mandapa is missing . There is big hanuman monolithic statue here to be not missed. The temple garbhagriha is reinforced because of degradation by time and erosion
