Aadhi Temple at Palani. Lot of charity offered by my ancestors to this temple. This temple had been the leading one before the expansion of the hilltop temple. The Badrakali idol in Navaranga Mandabam is worshipped from ancestoral times and our ancestors had offered a magnificent Golden horse also to Palani Muthukumarasamy Andavar. On Vijayadasami day Lord Murugan's Vel comes from the hilltop and Lord Muruga goes for Samhara from this temple on Golden horse with the Vel. Great feel on visiting this temple.
We were lucky that we visited the temple on Dussehra. On this day, the Lance of the Lord is brought from the hill temple to this temple and the Utsava deity Muttukumaraswami uses it to destroy evil and usher in an era of hope and good cheer after Navaratri. From my childhood we often going to this temple. Periyanayaki amman and Peruviyadar, Shanmugavelan and more are there. Everyday At morning around 7, Pleasent time to be there. Because they are doing abhisekam to all the gods with Nathashwaram and Melam. The positive vibration what we get there is not explaining by words. Always someone sings songs or kandasashti kavasam or anuboothi or thiruvasagam. It's a outstanding moment in the morning. So Must visit this temple when we go palani.
