Shri Nand Yashoda Bhawan, Gokul Dham - Featured Reviews (1319)
Nice place of devotion, I cannot explain the feeling through words...
The only Pujaris there are really money minded. They are involved with the guides there. Initially they establish a friendly rapport and at the end they force you to give money in the name of God.
Guide showed this place as matha yashoda and Nanda gopal house where lord Shri Krishna has grown in Gokul for 12 years.
There is no proper maintanace , u need to close your nose while walk on the street to reach this place . Local people don't have the respect to keep such holy place as neat and clean. They are all here just to loot tourists.
Please be aware that pandiths here trap you in the name of Donation Rs 6000 to 60000Rs...they trapped us to make 6500 Rs donation,
please be carefull and alert ..they just make you religiously emotional fool . Which I felt they are doing really cheating in the name of lord Shri Krishna. Please be carefull that guide also work here on percentage basis.
So please please be carefull here.
One of the many "Original" Child Homes.
Totally scam nexus between Priest and guide. Nothing Spiritual, Holy or Divine.
Totally milking out money of you depending upon status. Very Bad experience, No vibe, Greed in name of religion, Very Professional Thugs.
If you see the following room just go back if you can.
Nand Bhawan, also known as Chaurasi Khamba Temple, is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Gokul. It holds a fascination among visitors and devotees because it was here that Lord Krishna spent his childhood days after their real parents were imprisoned by King Kansa. The house belonged to Nand Maharaj, the foster father of Lord Krishna. It is called Chaurasi Khamba temple because the temple rests on 84 pillars.
Palace of Nandlal & Yashoda Mayya. Lord Balram & Lord Krishna where brought up in Gokul during their childhood days. The pujaris (pNdde ) here are very notorious and dupe the pilgrims for money. Visitors be careful & stay away from them.
Beautiful..but the local guides and priests are scammers. They will try and persuade you for special poojas and donations , don't fall in it. Just pray with your whole heart. That's enough (this is my feeling)...
Very devotional and mesmerizing place offset with guides and pandits almost forcing you to shell money in the name of God. Particularly the guides, they tell all the stories in detail and make you sit in front of the pujari who will again tell all the story of Krishna and make you affirm that we will donate starting from 5k which we refused. All the happiness of coming to this place turned into anger to see these people behave the way they do. Avoid!
Holi place.
The only thing is they say do donations based on your capacity and give you some idea on it, starts from 5000 to 21000 and if you refuse then they will say 2200 is the lowest one.
If you still refuse then you will be asked to give some donations.
I think its based on commission the panditji you hire will also force you to do some charity
I am not against donations but donations based on fear of god are wrong.
Visit Krishna's childhood home to enter history! The picturesque setting of the village takes you back in time. Take the mischievous antics of the child in Krishna's stories. The essence of their upbringing is preserved in architecture and artefacts.
Visiting the Yamuna Ghat in Gokul Dham, associated with the holy river Yamuna, is a deeply spiritual and touching experience for many. The ghat holds great significance in Hindu mythology as it is believed to be the place where Lord Krishna spent his
