Pleasant and satisfying place to visit.Parking lot by grampanchayat on the road. The temple is hardly 5*10 minutes walk from there.Clean surroundings. Temple architecture is skillful and awe-inspiring.Darshan line can be long on weekends, took us half an hour. But once you get the darshan of the swyambhu Ganesh idol with its piercing diamond studded eyes all your waiting time is forgotten.Amazing Astavinayak Ganpati darshan to remember and makes you come back again and again. Only Ganesh temple with Nandi at the entrance... don't miss this beautiful carved Nandi.
Best to visit after rainy season... One of the wonder full temple of ashtvinayak.. Let's start point- 1) We have enter fees for all vehicle in exchange they provide free parking near temple.. 2) Neat and clear area surrounding to temple.. 3) Neat and clear toilets . 3) With Rs50 slip you got full plate with local cuisine... ( I really like sweet in that plate). 4) Weekday are better that going on weekends. 5) Imp - Silence is the important fact of temple.. ( request you to maintain)
Divine place to be at. Being a devout follower of Ganesha I love visiting his temples. The idol here is very beautiful. The temple premise is neat and clean. There is a big parking space around 500 metres from the temple. 50/- per car are charged by the grampanchayat for entry into the temple area.
It's a Hindu religious place from shree Ashtvinayak Ganpati. The temple area and nearby places are too good. If you're living in Pune then you can visit this place at any time it might require half of the day. I suggest you visit this temple if possible on weekdays to avoid crowd. I advise you to explore market of this area you will definitely found amazing metal idols of Hindu God. Even you can found amazing home decorative items but you should have to bargain with them properly because if you're not good in bargaining then they will definitely ask for more money. The only thing I didn't like about this place was that they charge Rs50 for parking of our vehicle. If you're staying there, there are lots of options available like Bhakatnivas of Mandir trust and even lots of hotels are there for lodging. I don't have any idea but charges of staying there. You can also visit Jejuri which is about 17-18 far from it while going towards Pune. The best season to visit is the end of the month of may and the starting month of June. About Road- The roads are too good to drive. Roads are well maintained.

According to the Ganesha Purana, Lord Ganesh incarnated as Mayuresvara or Mayureshwar in the Treta yuga for killing demon Sindhu. Sindhu was the son of King Cakrapani of Mithila and his wife Ugra. Sindhu who was a devotee of Lord Surya was given the ever-full bowl of amrita (elixir of life) by Sun God as a boon. He became very powerful and was attacking the gods and imprisoning them. In response to the pleas of the gods, Lord Ganesh came down to Earth on a peacock mount, fought a battle against the demon and defeated him. This is the place where the head of Sindhu fell. As Lord Ganesha rode a mayura or peacock, he is popularly known as Mayureshwar or Moreshwar here. Mayureshwar literally means Lord of the peacock. After winning the battle with Sindhu, Ganapati returned to his celestial abode, giving his peacock mount to his younger brother Muruga, with whom the peacock is generally associated.
Visited this place when it was not crowded much due to which the darshan was done in 20-30 minutes. The temple has fairly small complex but it is clean. The way to temple is but narrow and they charge Rs40 for parking.
