Temple is beautiful & had very clean surroundings. Felt very peacefulness inside the Temple. The purohit was very cooperative & guided us properly. He did prayer for our family, which was very touching & we instantly felt connected with the almighty. Very satisfying visit.

This is a very beutiful temple. There are total 3 temples along with the main temple of Lord Laxminarayan Mahamaya. The surrounding area is very peaceful. I often visit here. There is also a canteen here. One should get a coupon at the office for food. Food is good and tasty.

Very nice and peaceful. Reach before 12pm to be able to get the Pooja coupon and also if you like get the Lunch coupon. Parking is available on the back side. Dont just stop at the main gate..take a full circle to reach the back gate, where ample parking space is available. The temple also follws a moderate dress code.. so try to wear traditional or full trousers, no shorts; women stick to traditonal Indian dresses, no western outfits including jeans.

On the way back from goa to kundapura we visited this shrine on a auspicious shravan masa. Enjoyed the time here.

A very peaceful place... The temple is maintained very well l. The surrounding is kept very clean. The priest here are very good and does proper sangni/Pooja irrespective of who visits... There is no differentiation done by them. They are humble too and don't show attitude of their position.

Ankola is a town of mango groves, set in enchanting natural surroundings. The beautiful Sri Lakshminarayana Mahamaya Temple is situated at Hanumatta very near at Ankola. This place is well known for Goan. Most of the Goan visit this temple every year. People say that at the time when Goa was under Portuguese rule. Portuguese began to destroy hindu temples and Hindu religion. Many hindu families migrated from Goa, being unable to withstand this religions persecution. The devotees of Sri Laxminarayan Mahamaya har also to face the same situation, but they were not willing to leave behind their family deity. It was easy for them to take with them Sri Laxminarayan from Nagwe, but Mahamaya had self manifested in the form of Rohini, which posed a problem to devotees in talking her with them out of Goa. But Mahamaya assured them that she would go with them in the form of the coconu. Thus, the devotees left Goa in 1510 with the coconut and the image of Sri Laxminarayana.
