Shri Ganpati Mandir - Hindu temple in Wai - Satara, India

On our route to Mahabaleshwar, we visited at the Wai Ganpati temple. It is situated in Wai city. The Wai Panchgani road is only 3 kilometers away. It is convenient to travel there because of this. On the banks of the Krishna River is where the temple is. The Ganpati idol, which is highly revered, is the temple's claim to fame. The temple's architecture is absolutely exquisite.

Beautiful temple in Wai situated on banks of river Krishna. Old temple, made in black stone. Serene. Not very crowded. Basically it's a temple complex, same complex there is beautiful Shiva temple..

A beautiful and peaceful temple. Krishna river flows near by. There is a lord Shiva temple as well. Big idol of lord Ganesha can be seen here. One can spend 1 hour here and get blessings of Ganesha and Lord Shiva.

Dholya ganpati wai mandir is on bank of Krishna river. Next to the mandir there is another temple of Kashi vishweshwar. Both temples are very popular among pilgrims. The temple has a parking facility which would cost you Rs 30 for a car. Devotee can sit in sabha mandap after darshan. Most of the riverbank side are used for washing clothes so you might see drying clothes on the side of the temple which is normal here. You can spend around 30 to 45 minutes visiting these temples.

Vai's Dholaya Ganapati temple, built in 1762 by Sardar Awasadi, is famous for its continuous idols carved out of a single stone.
