I hail from Bangalore and after visiting this temple i had unique experience. Temple is so peaceful and architecture is also unique and different to other south temples.
beautiful and old temple. architecture inside and outside is really stunning temple premises is huge. there is also a small pond inside the premises. free dedicated parking space available for cars. crowd is moderate, there wasn't any queue to enter the temple.
The temple is by the main road. We visited the temple on Saturday, at around 9am. The temple was considerably empty with hardly any tourists or people. It's a temple dedicated to God Ananthapadmanabha. A calm place if that's what you are looking for in a temple. There is a bana in the temple complex where you can offer a coconut (locally referred to as 'seeyala' siiyaall) and pray for your wishes. There's a pond too.
Very peaceful, around 10kms away from the city. What I liked the most about it, is the snake sculptures, there are around 1000 of them in one particular place, don't miss it. There is also a small pool/lake where you're supposed to wash your legs and it's considered to be holy water. Morning, afternoon times, when the sun is at it's peak, it's going to be really fun for your foot to walk on the land where the sun hits.
