It was originally 10th century Solanki era temple but today's structure is built in 1902. Surrounding kunda encompasses the temple on three sides. It is easily reached from Chotila.

Tarnetar is a village in the Surendranagar district of the state of Gujarat in India. It is situated near the city of Thangadh. The nearest domestic airport is 90 kilometres (56 mi) away at Rajkot, and the nearest international airport is at Ahmedabad, 200 kilometres (120 mi) away. The Trinetreshwar temple is an ornate and evolved example of its time portraying the Gurjjar Pratihar style. Owing to the reign of the Pratihar kings, the regions were later called as the Panchal region.[1] The temple was later reconstructed without changing its architectural beauty by the King of Lakthar, Karansinghji in memory of his son. The Tarnetar temple is surrounded by three Kunds : the Vishnu Kund, the Bhrahma Kund and the Shiv Kund - south of which a cellar is built. It is popularly believed that a dip in its waters is as holy as a dip in the sacred River Ganges. Tarnetar is known for its annual fair, the Trinetreshwar Mahadev Mela, which is held near the Trinetreshwar Mahadev temple.[2] It attracts villagers from all over the region as well as tourists. Around 100,000 people typically attend.

It is a very popular place of the Surendranagar district. Located in tarnetar village of thangadh taluka, 60-70 km away from the Surendranagar, and 40 km from the chotila It also known for its cultural value. Every year event call TARNETAR FAIR (marriage fair) is held in the month of September-octobar ( first week of bhadrapad). U can also enjoy the kunds around the temple for having little bath.

Its a restored temple of trinetreshwar mahadev. The temple is widely famous for its annual fair tarnetar no melo. There are three kunds out of which two are inside temple campus. According to mythology, draupadi belonged to this area and her swayamvar was held here. In the annual fair, the tradition of swayamvar is continued means the young tribal boys and girls come with their parents in the fair to find suitable partner.
