Shree Swaminarayan Mandir VadtalDham - Hindu temple in Vadtal - Kheda, India

This temple is build by lord swaminarayan himself. Temple is quite beautiful and peaceful place. Good architectural design of the temple. This place also have good back story . Food is given in the Harikrishna hall for free to needy people and 25Rs in semi VIP hall and 100Rs per person in VIP lounge. Parking is available. People mostly come here to attend the full moon Pooja. For night stay rooms are available at low cost opposite of gomti ghat at 500Rs for non AC and 800Rs for AC.

A very serene experience visiting the Swaminarayan Mandir Vadtal. We visited during a Holiday so there was a rush but otherwise we really feel at peace here. The Prasadam was cherry on top. Also, there is a market near the Temple where you can shop for things at an affordable price. Must visit at least once for peace and feeling a divine experience.

JAY SHREE SWAMINARAYAN... The Swaminarayan Sampraday began as the Uddhav Sampraday and was led by Ramanand Swami. In 1799, Swaminarayan, then known as Neelkanth Varni, was initiated into the Uddhav Sampraday as an ascetic (Sadhu) by his guru, Ramanand Swami, and given the name "Sahajanand Swami". At the age of 21, Neelkanth Varni was given the leadership of the sect known as Uddhav Sampraday with the blessings of Ramanand Swami, who handed him control of the religious diocese shortly before his death. Fourteen days after Ramanand Swami died, Neelkanth Varni, now known as Sahajanand Swami, held a large gathering of followers at the town of Faneni. It was during this meeting that Swaminarayan introduced what he termed "the father of all Mantras", and then he was known as Swaminarayan. It should be noted that there was no swami who he had appointed his successor or as an ideal devotee at that time. The name refers wholly and solely to one entity, Swaminarayan. Thereafter the name "Swaminarayan Sampraday" came into existence.

Well-maintained hall with proper serving as they cover hand and head with plastic gloves and cap that make good quality food. Parking Aa trust has lots of space for parking as private car can directly go to the main parking area witch is located to starting path of temple. Beautiful Mandir of Lord Swaminarayan with many historic prasadi vastu (artefacts) of Lord Swaminarayan. Ensure to see the Akshar Bhuvan, where these artefacts are kept. The Mandir also provides simple free meals to all 3 times a day, and larger meals as well at a small cost. The accomodation at Harikrushna Utara (by Gomti Lake) is very nice and modern, the utara accommodation next to the mandir in Gopalanand Swami Bhuvan is slightly older and less modern. Also note that there are a lot of mosquitos in Vadtal, and so do take precautions beforehand.

Vadtal is located around 75 km from Ahmedabad. Very good place to Visit with Family. Enough Car parking is available. Food is also available inside the Temple. You can have free Prasad or Paid also as per your choice. Best time to visit is evening so you can Attend Aarti. God's Siksha Patri is written here as said. You can visit Old library where we can see God's encient items they used which Stored very well.
