Very beautiful Template. Very well managed & architecture. Management inside the temple is not at all disciplined & send everyone at a time create unnessary crowded. Temple has very strict security & do not allow to carry mobile, any electric items, leather bag, leather belt etc. Its better to kept only cash & other things to be kept in locker room. Laser show is very beautiful & very well explained the history of Somnath.

Very nice and big shiv temple. Lightning show in evening time very attractive. Sea sore is very beautiful. You can deposit your luggage purse camera etc free of charge. Locker available. Good facilities for washroom. Very high security checking.

Embarked on a transformative journey to Shree Somenath Jyotirling Temple, and it turned out to be the best weekend of my life. The 10-hour scenic route from Ahmedabad Geeta Mandir, traversed in a comfortable AC sleeper bus (priced at 600 INR), set the tone for the upcoming spiritual retreat. Opted for a two-day stay at a hotel, investing 1000 INR, excluding meals. The anticipation heightened as I approached the temple, only to encounter a unique security measure--electronics were to be left outside. After a meticulous check and a brief waiting period, I stepped into the temple premises. The temple's interior is a testament to architectural brilliance, adorned with intricate details that hold historical and spiritual significance. The soul-stirring instrumental music resonates through the air, creating an indescribable, ear-pleasing ambiance. It's a sensory experience that transcends the ordinary. Beyond the temple, the surrounding places share the same divine aura, offering a serene escape. Visiting nearby spots like Triveni Sangam and Dehotsarg Tirth added layers to the spiritual journey, each place contributing to the overall serenity. The atmosphere is not just calming; it's a profound disconnect from the relentless hustle of the outside world. It's an oasis of peace, allowing for introspection and spiritual rejuvenation. Adding to the overall charm are the warm and welcoming people, creating an environment of inclusivity and shared spirituality. Today we visited this temple....main diety is Lord Shiva... there is a wait for more than one hour...we could get darshan and prayed a lot. then we sent to the seashore and saw the views. at 8pm started the light and sound show.. the history of this temple is described elaborately... persons who worked for the reconstruction of temple after demolition by external forces are also detailed...purchase prasadam. .ladu...a very nice temple maintained very neatly and cleanly.... adequate parking facility. situated close to the main road. a place must to visit... this is the first jyotirlinga in Bharat among the total 12

Somanath temple is historical temple.Iord mahadeva jyotirlinga is blessing to all the people who are visiting there . spiritual place From Railway station we can go there by walk with 30 min also Rikshaw service available there.for staying there we can choose lodging hotels which placed nere to temple.Best things about this place is that it was historical temple and located on bank of Arabian sea. Mobile restricted in temple so be careful. Overall best.

The first of India's twelve sacred jyotirlingas is said to have arisen at the elaborately carved honey-colored Somnath temple on the state's western border. It is said that Shiva manifested there as a blazing column of light. The temples are situated where the Sarasvati, Hiran, and Kapila rivers converge, and the shoreline where they are built is touched by the ebb and flow of the Arabian Sea. Although the history of the ancient temple starts in 649 BC, it is thought to be earlier. In 1951, the current shape was rebuilt. Though it's difficult to see them through the foggy glass, vibrant dioramas depicting the Shiva narrative border the north side of the temple grounds. There are legends that the moon deity Somraj initially constructed a gold temple at Somnath, which was then rebuilt in stone by Bhimdev, in wood by Krishna, and in silver by Ravana. On the original beachfront location, the calm, symmetrical edifice that stands today was constructed in accordance with traditional ideas. It has a creamy hue and some exquisite sculpture. One of the 12 most revered Shiva temples, or jyotirlinga, is the enormous, black Shiva lingam in its centre.

I will suggest to everyone kindly visit this place with your family. You can book hotels & dharmshala hosted by Somnath temple trust in advance. And visit this temple before 10am then you will worship and see lord SHIVA properly. After 10am you have to stand on a long queue. You have to come first VERAVAL RAILWAY STATION and after it you can book an auto rickshaw for Somnath temple.

Somnath jyotirling is 1st Jyotirling of India and first of it's kind. You can enjoy there with your family and loved ones. Just keep in mind that you have to book hotel rooms in advance to avoid wastage of time when you visit there. Early in the morning there is less crowded , so you can have positive vibes in the temple area with your family. Another thine I want to describe here that at the entry you have to submit your mobile phones, so provide your contact details with small children means in case of missing, it will be easy to find.
