Shree Saunsthan Shantadurga Chamundeshwari Kudtari Mahamaya is a temple in Quepem, Goa and is one of the most beautiful looking temples in North Goa. It is used to perform religious duties including marriage.

Shree Shantadurga Chamundeshwari Temple is in Ghudo Avedem village in Quepem Taluka in South Goa district of Goa. It is on the banks of Khushawati River. It is 45 Kms from Panjim, 600 Kms from Mumbai and 350 Kms from Mangalore. This Temple was established in the year 1560 of Christian era, was in Salcete Taluka, of village Curtorim (Kudtari). But in the16th century there were religious conversions and from this threat the devotees and public were forced to leave their places of Goa, and the Founders of Kudatari Temple shifted their deities which was more important for them than their own lives, to Shelvon in the area of Chandrawadi,and subsequently it was moved to Ghudo ward of village Avedem in Quepem Taluka where it was established. And till this day the Temple is there in the name of Shree Saunsthan Shantadurga Chamundeshwari Kudatari Mahamaya.

Very peaceful place to take blessings of Mata Chamundeshwari. Away from crowd of coastal Goa. Must visit place.

It's a very spiritual, sacred temple of Goddesses. Many people visit this place from different parts of India as it's considered jaagRt which means your wishes will come true. The temple is on the bank of rever Kushavati which is again considered as sacred river. It's the only temple wherein Mahajana (temple members) are from all the casts and community working together. The temple was renovated from it's original structure to it's new look around 20 years or so.

One of the GSB temples which remains after Portuguese. It's recently renovated and many of the buildings are new. Very religious atmosphere and serene surrounding. Plenty of AC and non AC rooms are available for devotees. Lot of Kulavis visit the temple for Annual and special rituals.
