Brief Introduction of Shri Rajpurohit Hostel Shri Rajpurohit Chhatrawas Shri Umaid Rajguru Purohit Boarding House was started in 1922 by the special efforts of Late Shri Kesharsinhji Tinwari at Phulerao Valley inside Chandpole Gate. Shifting from time to time, in 1949-50 the present private building at Sardarpura, Plot No. 9th D Road. Started by getting twelve rooms constructed on 925-26. In the year 1955, thirteen more rooms were constructed in the hostel and it was given the form of a double storey building. In the year 1977, the responsibility of running the Rajpurohit Hostel was handed over to the Rajpurohit Hostel Development Committee. The registration of the society was done on 5th July, 1985. After that, many steps were taken in the development of the hostel, in which plot no. In 916, 41 rooms were constructed in the name of college wing. In the school wing, 22 rooms were constructed on the third floor. In this sequence, vacant plot no. After allotment of 927 (57X57) from the City Improvement Trust, Swami 'Atmanand Bhavan' was constructed on this plot in the name of Swami Shri Anant Vibhushit Atmanandji Saraswati. In this three-storey building, 41 rooms, a huge assembly hall, a modern dining room and a well-equipped computer hall and six shops were constructed outside. In this way, in this grand and spacious hostel, there are three buildings, in which college wing, school wing (Kheteshwar Bhavan) and 'Atmanand Bhavan' have excellent arrangements for the meritorious students to stay. There is a good dining facility in the hostel. The work of repair, maintenance, painting etc. of the buildings of the three wings is done by the Hostel Development Committee from time to time.
