Shree Maa Kali Mandir - Hindu temple in Ranchi - Ranchi, India

Morning aarti starts around 7 AM daily for about 30 minutes and after that only you can offer your puja thali. It's a small but famous temple on the main road, Ranchi. There is no parking space in front of the temple. Either you will have to park in the "daily market" Paid parking ( which is always full) or near the Firayalal which is about 0.5 KM from the temple. It was a good experience.

Kali Mandir A hindu temple. Very famous and old mandir. Situated in a wonderful location i.e. main street you can view easily in normal traffic. A temple incorporates all elements of Hindu cosmos-presenting the good, the evil and the human, as well as the elements of Hindu sense of cyclic time and the essence of life-symbolically presenting dharma, kama, artha, moksa, and karma. It also represents recursion and equivalence of the macrocosm and the microcosm by astronomical numbers, and by "specific alignments related to the geography of the place and the presumed linkages of the deity and the patron".

Located at the heart of city, the Kali Mandir is an important landmark on the city landscape. Its adjoining areas are hub of commercial activities, the market just infront of temple is famous for bag and chain repairs, can virtually repair any kind of equipment with chain, u will be surprised of the down to earth prices they charge. The mandir area has fair mix of Hindus and Muslim living in harmony since ages.

It is my childhood love. I find peace here . It's now little crowded at Aarti time. But still peaceful at the start of Church road which is too much crowded.
