A yearly fair, attended by about thousands of pilgrims, is held here on Phagun vad Amavasya (March - April). A bath in the pool, and certain religious ceremonies, are believed to draw out evil spirits and, at the same time, give them freedom, mukti, and absorption into the eternal Brahma.

Loteshwar is name of this village and temple is as Loheshwar mahadev. Leaving that aside besides this historic temple to see are paanch Pandav Kund. .Pandav pagla and ancient tree..recently added ambaji mandir..All within the fortified walled structure. Opposite lies khari no timbo where earlier an ashram used to be there. Amazing is the structure and layout construction of five kunds. .One for each pandavas. Spend an hour or so and proceed to your next destination. This place is some 10kms from shankeshwar and take own food and water. Nothing available here. No fees and parking available. Enjoy.
