Shri Kayavarneshwar Mahadev Temple is an archaeological historical site. Here is a huge temple of Shri Kayavarneshwar Mahadev, which was established by King Janmajaya about 50000 years ago. This temple was established at the time when Kali Yuga started and Dwapar Yuga ended. The history of this temple is very big and religious! It is said that by taking a bath in the Amrit Kund built in this temple, one gets freedom from all leprosy diseases. On coming here, whatever is asked with a sincere heart, Lord Shiva fulfills all the wishes! The Omkar mountain here has such a belief that on the night of Shivaratri, for a momentary time, the entire mountain turns into gold metal! Devotees come here in large numbers on the night of Shivratri and after worshiping, archana and abhishekh, they reap the fruits they want! This temple is situated in the middle of the hill in a corner in the middle of dense trees.
