Shree Damodar Temple - Hindu temple in Margao - South Goa, India

Very few will know that Damodar was actually the Name of (Mathagramast) Margao'a Prince/King, who got defeated in a while protecting his Wife from another Prince/King!! King Damodar was humble yet People friendly King. He was very popular, thus following his Death, Madgaonkar Honoured him by worshipping him and built a temple for him. Jagruth devastating, which was shifted to Zambaulim, when Portuguese were breaking temples in Salcete. All of this has been shared from elderly Mathgramast, from generations to Generation.
