"The function of prayer is not to influence God, but rather to change the nature of the one who prays." "The great thing to remember is that though our feelings come and go, God's love for us does not." "God will not look you over for medals, degrees or diplomas but for scars."
This temple was small and now they have renovated and this is situated before sampaje on Mangalore - Madikeri rout.
A serene temple by the ghat section near Sampaje. Good place to recentre if you are on a long drive though the ghats. Temple was renovated recently and has really beautiful stone architecture. There are priests most of the time . There are 2 levels of doors. You can enter the second door and have a close darshan of goddess. The view at the front of temple is picturisque. If you are lucky enough you might get Prasadam here, the one I got was rice payasam made with jaggery and was divinely tasty.
Location of the temple is really good. If you are driving back to Bangalore from bekal... Take a stop here... Its worth.
Located in a peaceful location, this temple exudes tranquility. It is surrounded by a lot of greenery. You should find some parking in the vicinity. If you are traveling to Madikeri or Coorg, this would be a great stop on the way.
To reach Devarakolli falls one has to take the road leading to Mangalore from Madikeri via Sulya. Devarakolli is a small village located at a distance of approx 15km from Madikeri. This falls is on the main road which is mainly powered by rain water, hence available only in rainy season.
A must visit place in the heart of beautiful nature. You will feel belonging there.
This cute little temple appears to be very popular among the motorists as they all stop and offer money to the deity here. The temple is located on your left side when you drive down the hill from Madikeri to Sampache. It comes after the two diversions to Bhagamandala. There are quarry adventure clubs and estate resorts in this area. Many pitstops like KVG, Swarna, Dhanya and Honest Canteen dot the hill road. The next landmarks are the Forest Range Office and the Koyanad temple located at an L-shaped bend in the road.
