My favorite backwater homestay where I have stayed at four times! It's a beautiful traditional Kerala-style building with a garden full of greenery surrounding a pond, making it very unique and magical. Playing on the boat in the garden, relaxing in the hammock, or reading a book while drinking a cup of Keralan coffee is wonderful. The rooms are simple, clean, quiet and you can sleep well. Home-cooked food always tastes fresh, can choose vegetarian or non-vegetarian. The owner, Indu, takes care of all the arrangements. Thanks to that, I was able to enjoy Ayurvedic massages, henna tattoos, backwater tours, and more during my stay. You can participate in a cooking class in the kitchen or try to wear a sari, a traditional indian clothing. Indu can arrange transportation to Cherai Beach as well as excursions, like Munnar, Athirappilly Waterfalls, and so on. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and memorable homestay experience in Kerala!!!
Its now the sixth time that I come to Shravanam Greens. For me it is the most beautiful place around Kochi. Indu, the owner is such a lovely woman, very helpful and always available. The rooms are cosy and the view is fantastic. I always feel like at home. I highly recommend this place.
Spent a few days last weekend. Great place to relax and rejuvenate. Now with facility for kayaking with various packages. A full time trainer is available and it's very safe.
The entire place is so peaceful! The owner can help you with anything you need, for days out, cooking courses or even a yoga course! The entire place has been designed by her, in old kerala style. We loved everything about our stay!
Calm and cosy place. Lots of place for kids to play, parents and elders to relax. Good rooms, ample parking space. The only issue you will face is finding the place because Google maps takes you in a different direction. Once you are on chathanad road, please don't take the left turn as per Google instruction. Continue on chathanad road till you cross a narrow bridge (kundekavu bridge) and then turn left beside the mosque. Hopefully next update, Google will have the narrow road that leads to this place. The cost is also economical as it comes around Rs1200 per adult inclusive of food.
