One of the best places to visit near Bangalore. Entry: last entry till 5 PM. Entry fee is 25 Rs per person + 10 Rs per bike. Distance: Ramnagar is 50-60 KM from Bangalore Best Time: The Mansoon time or cloudy weather. Attractions: There are few Temples to visit at the top. Also you can go down a bit after reaching at the top on the other side of the hill. The view is good from there. Difficulty: There are 450 stairs to climb to reach the top. The last stretch is a little bit tricky. Exit: Plan the reach entry point at Max by 6:30. It's a preserve area for vultures. Respect nature and wild life.
Nice place to experience the Jai & Veeru moment with your loved ones. It's an easy drive from Bengaluru. It will take around 2 hours to reach the place and you can park your vehicle close to the entry point. Overall 400 steps but an easy trekking experience. Best to visit early in the morning. It opens around 9:00 am. You won't get anything to eat or drink near the spot so make your arrangements accordingly.
Ramadevara betta sholay movie shooting location. Must visit place near bangalore as it is just 50 kms from Bangalore. Ramadevara betta which is famous as sholay hills as it is sholay movie shooting location. It was called as ramgad in the movie sholay. There is a washroom outside before you ride the steps but not that clean as per expectation. And there is ample space for parking of your vehicles. Timings are 9am to 5 pm. Entrance to the hill starts with a gate and then followed by steps to climb the hill top. There are approx 350 to 400 steps which have railings so you can manage easily to go up, lot of trees are also in surrounding so you can take rest, breathe and trek again. It may be a bit difficult to reach the highest point due to the steep slope and disorganized steps. But after passing this steps a breathtaking mesmerizing view will be waiting for you.Once in a lifetime experience just amazing. The cool breeze will make your mind and body peaceful after reaching at the top. We visited this place as 'trio', at the end we capture our jai-veeru and 'kitne aadmi the??' moment which was a lovely experience to be remembered.
It's a nice place to trek. An easy trek. The roads are not at all well maintained and there are no clean toilets available or any place to eat. I would recommend to carry own water and food.
