Shivsrushti Killa ( Akluj Fort ) - Featured Reviews (1474)
Nicely built Shivsrushti to create visualization of fort and statues of Shivaji Maharaj and other soldiers (mavle) is awesome. I really liked the huge statue of Shivaji Maharaj riding the horse. Map will navigate to the place which is not located on big roads but have to go through some narrow lanes. River, on the other side, adds to its beauty. Inside, there are few models created of forts that represent birds' eye view, including Rajgad, Raigad, Sindhudurga, Vijaydurg, etc. Parking space is available for free, but there is an entry fee for entering the fort.

Nice place to explore history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Shivsrushti Fort is a very impressive monument and which will make you realise the history of great king Chh.Shivaji Maharaj. The main incident happened in the life of Chh.Shivaji Maharaj are sculptured very nicely. This fort has a different section in which all the mini models of all forts are made which is exactly same and realistic. There is also a scene of court of "SHIVRAJYABHISHEK" and after all ,there is a huge statue of Chh.Shivaji Maharaj which make everyone energetic and confident.
The history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been depicted with such fascinating works of art. Also, next to the artwork, important information about that event has been given. Seeing the auspicious statue of Maharaj, the eyes light up.
Akluj Fort is a fort located 115 km from Solapur, in Solapur district, of Maharashtra. This fort is an important fort in Solapur district. The fort restoration is done by the Shree Dinkarrao Thopte and Avinash Thopte with the help of local people. The fort is now also called Shivshrushti....
Place is very well maintained thought the Ramparts And the entire structure has been newly built depicting Chhatrapati Shivaji life, his early years, formation of Swarajya and lots more. Very rich history story telling. The only thing is that washrooms were very untidy despite having an entry fee, it should have kept clean. Chose not to use as stench was emanating.
Its a historical place where you spend quality time with family. Its nicely rebuilt. Awesome place to see history through pictures and models. But I will say the fort area is great but its way from village is not that good. In short the fort is Great inside but awful outside.
