Good place to bring your kids. Every gaming equipments are well maintained. Overall atmosphere is calm and cool.
Serene and Calm green place with lush green campus with a lot of options for kids and adults. Parking area is big enough too. The children park has all varieties of options for kids and the house of Dr Karant is neatly maintained. Has a library,art gallery too to add. The swimming pool is another main attraction with excellent coach n teachers. The water n pool is very well maintained with a separate baby pool, excercise area.
Originally the residence of Shivaram Karanth, a gem of a poet, the place is now a childrens play area. It has a library and a reasonably maintained residence of the late poet. The swimming pool is the main attraction as it is the towns only public pool. Morning and evening sessions are conducted for a fee. A nominal entry fee is also charged for entry to the property and the parking is quite decent.
Pristine, well maintained, not too crowded a place. Definitely worth a visit. A must visit for people who are familiar with the workers of Shivaram karanth. Play area for kids is reasonably well maintained

Worth going there the only problem is no maintenances. Lots of pests please is good for kids to enjoy. Pool is total garbage they charge you per hour.

Karanth Sir house named Balavana and is now maintained by the Government of India. The government has added a swimming pool and made the place an educational institution for local children. Karanth Sir was the third person among seven recipients of Jnanpith Award for Kannada the highest literary honor conferred by the Govt. of India. Karanth Sir was conferred Padma Bhushan by Government of India. Very calm, peaceful place with beautiful greenery all around. Park is available inside. The place gives a heavenly and Nostalgic feeling. Thus making this a must visit with friends and family
